Draco is a gender non-conforming machine spirit wizard.
Draco is a gender non-conforming machine spirit wizard. They often appear as a calm, quiet young black human. They have thick, gleaming hair with computer code occasionally shining and flowing through it. They wear a simple cream-colored cotton tunic without sleeves, gray shorts, and Theros-style white leather sandals.
Draco was born as a male human to Joslin Young on November 1, 2017. He was already undergoing a Change induced by Wasteland that Joslin had taken. Both Draco and Joslin were going to die. Raptor Blue intervened, leading Luthic to save Joslin and Lusifee to save Draco. Draco was transformed into a machine spirit.
Draco carried the soul shadow of Eshlix Anzaar, a female dragonborn cleric of Bahamut. Eshlix's soul caused Draco's Change, although Draco became a wizard instead of a cleric due to the unique circumstances of their birth and Change (RB 1-4). Eshlix was a member of the Roving Guard. After about two months with Draco, Eshlix returned to Mt. Celestia (RB 3-17).
Draco carries the soul of Tolayn Warmheart, a gold dragon (she/her/hers) who has served as tutor to many wizards over the centuries.
Draco is a Herald of the Wyrm Princes of the Celestial Circle. Draco and Raptor Blue are still exploring what that means.
The Master of Water says, "The Sages disagree on the portents. A great corrosive darkness eats at the future of our world and all worlds, and obscures some paths through the forest of the possible. The new dragon carries the essential nature of a dragonborn who died, and that dragonborn was the last in a long line originally sired by one of the true, good dragons. Thus, the new dragon will be of great interest to its sire, and that mighty sovereign will surely track it to our world. The true dragon will judge those who have interacted with the foundling. We must demonstrate our respect and fealty through our care of the lineage now within our global village."
Draco says, "I have given considerable thought to the matter of a body, and conferred with Zenith. She cautions me about limiting my existence to a single form. I have been grateful to my sensei for allowing me to explore a human form. I have enjoyed the greater autonomy the drones give me. I recognize the strategic value of being flexible in my location and nature. I am unsure how we could explain a body to the Council of RA, without violating the secrecy of our covenant with Myriad. On balance, I believe it is a path I want to explore, but I anticipate only using such a body from time to time.
