The Covenant of Moradin is an ancient holy text. The original text is concise. Over time, it's been copied and commented on extensively. Most copies of the Covenant include extensive supplemental texts, written by Dvaren leaders and clergy. Here are two key excerpts from the core text.

We are the Dvar. This is our true name, given to us by Moradin when he forged us. He taught us the virtues of unity and hard work, the Dvaren Way. He made a Covenant with us, for all time. We must strive to be our best, in his name. In return, the Mordinsamman will guide us to the resources and treasures hidden in stone. They will guide our hands in turning those riches into tools, weapons, and armor--items of power and beauty. They will help us find the strength and courage to wield such arms and armor. Thus, they shall help us keep safe what matters most--our families, our clans, and our strongholds.
The Covenant of Moradin also promises us life after death, at Dvarholm, the One Mountain. It can be found in the Outlands, in the center of the Great Wheel of the Outer Planes. There we can find everlasting joy in hard work. This includes ambitious mining operations, advancing our arts and sciences, celebrating with great feasts, and savoring the company of kin and comrades.
