The white towers of Amethyst are supply depots for the airborne leviathans. The leviathans primarily survive on sunlight and clouds. They also consume any nanites or microbots that reach their altitude. However, the leviathans need certain minerals and other resources from the surface. Each tower is living stone, rising high above a floating island. A tower's roots extend below and beyond the island. The roots pull in algae, fish, and seawater. The Untamed also bring offerings to the base of a tower, which the tower absorbs. The tower processes these resources and routes them upward. A leviathan periodically docks with a tower to resupply.
