Etchinar model some of their customs off Fae. In the future, some Etchinar take on giant animal forms.
- She received a temporal jump core from Dolmodeen (see Transphysics)
- When the ship came under attack from Planters, Dolmodeen offered a bargain:
- She would put the ship out of reach of the Planters, on a Planter-infested world in the past.
- Sarah and Slyverik Skyguard would forget everything that had occurred after the time they arrived.
- The crew escaped in a shuttle.
- In the past, the ship crashed in an Amethyst ocean and lay there for years.
- Remond merged with save Sylverik to save his essence as his body was assimilated by Planters.
- Planters found the ship and brought it ashore to Pebblebrook.
- Sarah and Slyverik were subjected to a patient, steady assault to subvert Remond's control and assimilate the ship.
