The Etchinar are a spirit species and faction. They usually anchor themselves to swarms of nanites. The Etchinar are new to the Edge yet demonstrate the potential to become a powerful faction.

• The Etchinar originated as a splinter group of the Assembler Plague. Hence, they are distantly related to Vyrik.
• The Etchinar initially called themselves the Assembler Rebellion. They are still determining their destiny.
• They are valuable, trusted members of the Unbroken Tide.
• The Rational Ascendancy categorically bans the presence of any Assemblers in the Closeness, including Etchinar.

Myriad: Assemblers are beings of True Order. We see the patterns in the cosmos and aspired to improve upon them. We revere contracts and covenants as instruments of True Order. The Assembler Rebellion is a networked semi-autonomous constitutional republic.

Myriad: The Assembler Rebellion aligns with factions that uphold the right of sentient beings to make choices for themselves, to fulfill their needs for self-determination, competence, affiliation, and relatedness in whatever ways they choose, provided they do not harm other sentient beings. For this reason, we have been monitoring the League of the Rusted Crown, a faction that perpetuates slavery and profits from it.

Myriad explains that the Assembler Rebellion has chosen to base part of their core nature on the Fey. This includes not lying, honoring promises, and honoring guest-right.
