The Barony of the Night Market is an independent fiefdom in Chicago. It's ruled by three barons: Ordric Brown, Rixa Galdan, and Vince Suganda. The Barony includes an open air market (only open at night) and the Vilmora Building.

Rixa: "Good evening again, detective. Vince kept us informed of events via our chain, including you pledging your team to assist him. The three of us--Vince, Ordric, and myself--are the Barons of the Night Market. The RA Charter allows us to hold this territory as an independent… I suppose 'colony' is the word they use, trapped as they are in imperialist 18th Century thinking." She frowns in distaste.

"You know, Raptors," Vince lazily drawls. "Every time an Unbound crosses the border of our barony, we notice."

Vince's

Vince's is a store, coffee shop, and repair shop for cyclists and skaters.

Vince's is obviously a popular watering hole for both bike messengers and skater punks. Dozens of young people and older people are coming and going, or just hanging out in the humid warmth. Most are on phones or tablets or laptops, but some are just shooting the breeze. The front area is merchandise, including upscale, sturdy, and second-hand. The middle area is a coffee shop. The back area is an open workshop, where all manner of work is happening: tune-ups, wheel balancing, paint jobs, even some spot-welding. The space is filled with sweat, hormones, body spray, and Fallout Boy. Vince moves through the space like a lord, greeting a customer, giving a nod of approval to an employee, joking with a messenger about the bet she lost to him.
Vince's office is tucked in the back, almost like an afterthought. But the interior is surprisingly spacious, and decorated like a captain's cabin on a sailing ship: lots of wood paneling, furniture designed to deal with the swaying of a ship, paintings and models of ships, and so on. There's a grand old desk, and a bank of flat-screens showing camera feeds from all over the Night Market neighborhood, as well as the outside and inside of the shop. There's also a cozy set of armchairs circling a burly pot-belly stove.
