The Vilmora Building is a modest skyscraper in the Night Market.

The Vilmora Building was completed in 1963. It is 10 stories. The 1st floor houses walk-in light commercial, with current occupancy at 80%. Floors 2-4 are office space for lease, with current occupancy at 95%. Floors 5-10 are one- and two-bedroom apartments, with current occupancy at 95%. The stairwell and elevator shaft are in the center of the building. There is roof access. The fire escape is on the west side. On social media, many tenants complain about noise from the el trains, and that seems to limit long-term occupancy. Chicago PD has the building on a watchlist for possible gang activity and drug sales.

The Vilmora Building has a history of crime. The deed has been seized three different times from three different criminal syndicates and sold at public auction, only to eventually wind up back under a syndicate's control. The shops, offices, and apartments have recently held enterprises like DVD cloning, credit card fraud, meth labs, crack flophouses, heroin flophouses, prostitution, and human trafficking. Proximity to the Night Market seems to have made things worse over the past few years, such as pickpocket rings based out of an office or apartment.

The Vilmora is currently held by Ochre Lane Holdings, LLC. The superintendent is Cody Armstrong: black male, age 38, US Army, 3 tours, honorable discharge.
