First Farwatch Purge

The purge was initiated by the US military in responses to some evidence of infiltration in Farwatch by extraterrestrial and extradimensional threats. The full capabilities of beings such as Reavers were poorly understood, but such threats were judged sufficient to necessitate the hasty recall, examination, and interrogation of Farwatch personnel. The purge lead to Astral Team separating from the US military (thus eventually forming the Phoenix Group) and to General John Lincoln declaring New Liberty’s independence.
