General John Lincoln is the Secretary of Defense of the Free Republic of Sihblos.

John Lincoln is a white human military officer (he/him). He's a white man in his mid sixties, with a restless get-things-done energy. He's wearing arctic camouflage battle dress utilities with muted rank insignia.

General John Lincoln was a decorated officer in the US Army. He commanded the original Farwatch base on Sihblos. During the First Farwatch Purge, Lincoln refused to cooperate. He declared his unit's independence, allied with the Mother's Children, and eventually developed his camp into the fortified city-state of New Liberty. He help expand the city-state into the Free Republic of Sihblos.

Lincoln's Decision: When ordered to cooperate with the First Farwatch Purge, Lincoln refused on the grounds of patriotism. He asserted that Sihblos is a highly dangerous planet, given its frigid environment and paranormal denizens. He asserted that for the sake of the nation and humanity, the US' first long-term extraterrestrial mission was too important to jeopardize. He asserted that a purge would lead to many essential personnel being wrongly accused and recalled. Lincoln was court martialed for treason in absentia. This sentence was later pardoned by President Barack Obama to allow Lincoln to visit Earth as a member of the Rational Ascendancy.

Lincoln has also served the the Colonial Bloc delegate to the Louisiana Chapter of the Rational Ascendancy, including a term as as Director of the Council.

Lincoln is a fan of Franklin Roosevelt. He's ensured that the Pillar of Unity was part of the Free Republic constitution and mindset. ("The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.")
