As told by Patience of Yesterday (ToA 3-9):

"It is Friday, May 11, 2001. This is Stormsong Island, on Amethyst."

The Well of Storms is open to the sky, amidst the verdant tropical jungle. The concentric steps surround the pool of water. The surface partly reflects the white clouds above, but it's mostly opaque with algae and stranger flora. The whole glade is charged with quiet, ancient power.

A delegation of Untamed waits at the edge of the clearing. They are dressed in rugged, armored diving gear and carry a variety of weapons. Their leader is sitting near the well, conversing with an Elf nobleman in ornate leather armor.

Solen Drift: "You misunderstand me, your lordship. We have always honored the old treaties and we're not asking for an exception now. The lands belong to your people, the seas to mine. I am here to honor my ancestors' friendship with House Bramblepaw. I am here to warn you of the rising threat."

Marsellus Bramblepaw: "We appreciate the warning, but Bramblepaw has weathered the Planter threat for centuries. I have little doubt that our hunters and spellweavers can handle a few zombies. You will notice that I came here unaccompanied and unafraid."

Solen Drift: "It's more than a few, your lordship. This shadow has spread across our nation for more than six years. It's an army that kills civilians and adds them as soldiers. Our cities are overrun. We've had to withdraw to our walkers, converting them into… into mobile villages. It's not aid we want, but to let you know that we have been a buffer between the horde and the surface. And we are in retreat."
