Wednesday, March 10, 2027 ((2026-04-18))

Operatives: Mellowyn, DK, Stream (left early), Alara, Rook

The operatives continued to fight the Shadow Curse in the Black Channel. Stream delayed the curse raising the corpse of Mawzek the shark and retrieved a memory bead. The operatives defeated the necrotic spirit controlling Clamorgasp, freeing a celestial of Dolmodeen whom DK cradled. Most of the operatives crossed to the Swift and assaulted the swift hold there. They defeated six PIKEs and Orandeek the Clawlich. As this node of the Shadow Curse fell, Dolmodeen, Ahvilora, and Ektalya flooded the channel with life energy, animals, and plants. The operatives mined the rare ores needed to repair the Super 7 and returned to Serenity Cove.

  • Clamorgasp is possessed by an undead spirit, holding captive the spirit of a Dolmodeen celestial within. The celestial manifests as an octopus, so the spirit has corrupted and distorted that
  • Mellowyn: Mellowyn calls out cheerfully to Rook, "Time to hunt!" And then pulls her specialized rifle off her back, it's dark surface holding a rainbow light deep within. A laser dot shows up on the face of the Pike up ahead, and then a shot rings out, connecting. She purrs almost too softly to hear, and then dashes forward, with a fierce flash of - here in the swift - sabertooth tiger like teeth.
  • Memory Bead: This is the psychic scar of a dark ritual. It is pitch black, with heavy angry clouds covering the night sky. Maldrik Vire stands at the cliff edge, wearing a heavy black robe over his blue suit. He stands in a ritual circle but it's hard to make out in the darkness. Maldrik is assisted by seven Kith in similar robes. Deep hoods obscure their features. All the robes are embroidered with Infernal runes glowing in angry magenta. Maldrik holds a dark book open and he intones an enchantment. Each assistant holds a rusted iron torche with a long handle and chants slowly in support. Maldrik's voice echoes off the cliffs of the Black Channel and dark magic drifts like ash down to the water. Just below the surface, something very large writhes and thrashes in response to the devil's power.
