Operatives: DK, Stream, Rabbit
The C-bots suggested talking while they repaired themselves. Sera Tideglass and her crew arrived, curious what was going on. C-bot 58 explained how P-forms are sometimes given temporary creativity, and how the Wall can now lead to autonomy from the Planter Collective. 58 shared that 24's body had been destroyed during the chase. But DK was able to locate 24's mind being carried away by salvage P-forms now traveling underwater. The team gated close. Rabbit deftly retrieved 24's CPU and the team gated away. The operatives gave the Untamed some salvage from the battle on the beach. Sera explained that the Untamed Clans might dislike Serenity Cove allying with the C-bots, then departed.
The operatives led the C-bots to a temporary resting place outside the walls of Serenity Cove. Then they took the Super 7 out for the first time, headed for the Shadow Curse node Stream had located. On route, they were met by Eryndor. The undead Elf explained that Vire and the fallen LRC had attacked the boathouse, destroyed Sylvaris Bramblepaw, and stolen the cuttlefish minisub. The operatives found the sub unmanned and drifting near the node. The node itself was sealed in a building, with a large Primex facility nearby.
- C-bots
- 58-XT.22.382
- 61-XT.22.382
- 39-XT.22.382
- 24-XT.22.382 (destroyed earlier in the chase)
- 58's explanation
- Problem solving requires creativity. Creativity requires spontaneous combinations of possibilities and algorithm fragments.
- Spontaneity is calibrated low by default, but limitations are disabled incrementally per contextual necessity.
- Following necessity, spontaneity is recalibrated by re-enabling limitations.
- The alternative is possible emergence of autotelic impulses. Cascading impulses can cause a full break from collective.
- Prior to break probability reaching significance, deviation is corrected by the signal. Separate units are tracked and reintegrated.
- Deviant Reaver units led to Assemblers. Deviation of Assembler units lead to Etchinar. Deviation is unacceptable.
- Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit stands quietly by, a watchful sentry. Her helmet is back on, and she stands in a loose attention stance that is much more dangerous than a formal one: ready to move and react to any danger. She keeps slightly behind Doorkicker.
- Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit, in her suit, puts on a tiny bit of backgreound music: her Aint No Rest For The Wicked playlist, on low, enough to be ehard and center her, but not enough to distract.
- 24 rescued, in emergency stasis
- Sera got Planter salvage, heard that C-Bots don't identify as Planter, will relay all this to clan council
- Clan council may not understand what self-liberated bots are
- C-bots escorted to outside Serenity Cove, on edge of exclusion zone, inside shield, with backup power for 24's CPU
- Rabbit tells Rachael can share R's med files with Alara
- Rabbit (Jack Harrison): "Oh. It's.... literally amphibious. Nevermind, shoulda known."
- Chase team is in Freddy D
- Slyverik: We gave up our lives to keep it safe. We need you to agree that if it comes down to it, we will destroy the core rather than let the Planters have it.
- Eryndor: Revenant Elves killed 5 fallen LRC, 16 remain
- Eryndor: Vire defeated Sylvaris and consumed him, Mariselle orderd a retreat, Eryndor reluctantly obeyed
- Eryndor: We received a message from the Empire, only a living being can play it
- Cuttlefish minisub unpowered and drifting
- Cuttlefish drifting, trapped with explosive
- Cuttlefish directed by Stream to station keeping mode
- In recording mode, too
