Team: Delly (Cael), Fonn (Dragon), Ikhilzis (Schizo), Lae'eni (BLANK), Lottie (Basil), Smokes (Aune), Ulthane (Sielic), Zenovi (Dae)

You continued to train to Level 3 while also working on side projects. Lottie built a relationship with Robert Wilson, a TIN engineer from Amonkhet. Smokes continued working on the foundation to help sleepers exposed to the Edge. Smokes also learned and recorded the story of the Anger gloom-coin, then donated the coin and story to the Smithsonian, where she met Daryl Stone, an Orc bard. Fonn trailed and pickpocketed suspects in human trafficking. Fonn also learned that some teen runaways are coming to DC because of rumors that a fairy gate is opening. Fonn’s work impressed Oma Janda. The spirit of Sorrow gave Fonn a talisman which she used to find and communicate with Dazzakuul, a frenetic minor spirit of Ambition. Ulthane mastered the art of building physical puzzles, at least to the limits of his vision. Ikhilzis and Delly completed side training goals, and Ikhilzis started looking for Talash, his mate.

The interval was interrupted by Marcos Martí, when he asked you to examine a crime scene. You met Takara Ioko, a Hobgoblin homicide detective. Marcos and Takara explained that three homeless people drowned in a storm sewer. The souls of two were led away by escorts from higher powers. But a third escort examined the third soul and left it alone. So that victim got up, bent iron bars, and left. The crime scene had traces of violet creep. The spirit world is unhappy with the third soul going free.

  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Smokes, after a particularly frustrating series of zoom meetings, goes stomping through the bunker throwing papers. "What do you /mean/ we need licensing? This is just rediculous - FIVE DIFFERENCE LICENSES! And... seven reporting agencies? Who gets ANYTHING DONE?"

  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn tries to catch the papers in midair, managing about a 50/50 rate in her exhaustion.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "... I am going to go set the state department house thing on fire. I'm going to. Foom."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "... would you like to smash a broken puzzle instead?"
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Your applications will /definitely/ be declined then."
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: ".... yes. I will smash a puzzle."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood offers Topi a hammer.
  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn takes the hammer quickly and replaces it with a toy mallet
  • Fonn Razorenth: "Just in case"
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw eyes Fonn.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw promptly hits her in the knee. The hammer squeaks.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw grins. Toothily. Readies the hammer.
  • Fonn Razorenth: "Ow! Okay okay you can have the real one!:
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw leaps at Fonn with the squeakyhammer. *squeaksqueaksqueak*
  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn begins running away from the kobold with a hammer. Her legs are longer.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw is not very good at this, to boot. But she's having fun.
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "I brought you some advil for your headache."

  • Fonn suggests that Dazzakuul check out college students’ ambitions
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood makes sure the squeaky hammer is part of Topi's kit from now on.
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly gives Ikhilzis a knowing grin and says nothing.
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood starts cooking a late late dinner slash early early breakfast for everyone. Heavy on eggs and vegetables.

  • Panel van from Bunker to meeting Marcos
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood is kitted out for Horrible things, but concealed. Greatsword is in the back.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw is wearing that new.. cloak. With its claw-clasp - at least until she takes on the 'gnome' form that she uses in public. She smells oddly of cardamom.
  • Fonn Razorenth: seems somewhat excited to see Marcos again. She's been making good progress since she last saw him.
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly is also fuy dressed, though her weapns are in the map case slung across her back.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw , during the trip, lines up a set of LEGO minifigures (stuck down with blu-tac) that look.. curiously like the team (many hand-painted) along the dashboard, from her customary shotgun position.
  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn squints at the not-Fonn Lego. She taps it on the head. "Fragile."
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Just a toy - I... have a feeling they'll eventually be useful.

  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly looks back, then raises an eyebrow. What?
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: C; Faith based things.
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): C: "...? I'm not a cleric or paladin. Though I suppose I am a little devout in kmy own way."
  • Fonn Razorenth: C: Out of curisoity, do either of you remember what spirits visited you when you died before the battle of Gavoka
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "...No, not at all. Hmm"
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood will relay his estimation of the strength required to move the bars via the chain.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "Then, a cry, low rising, increasing, then torn out of him, turned out the depth of Hades.." it's more a musing than anything serious, a 'leak' into the chain.
  • Lottie: "My first time around I thought I'd be visited by lights or spirits. Was a shock to just be standing over my body, all silent to the world."
  • Fonn Razorenth: C: "I see..." Fonn muses on what that could mean. She doesn't seem to find an answer.
  • Lottie: "Second was just a disconnection. Like a book closing. I suppose I have not really experienced my soul's goodbye yet. Sorry Fonn."
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "... I believe we should investigate these two we have; if they died together, using a substance they should not, it stands to reason they were at least amiable to each other- companions, perhaps?"
  • Fonn Razorenth: C: "That seems wise."
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "... I have no real spells that can help, beyond looking for magic in this place, but... perhaps more traditional investigative methods will be fruitful."
