Team: Delly (Cael), Fonn (Dragon), Ikhilzis (Schizo), Lae'eni (BLANK), Lottie (Basil), Smokes (Aunne), Ulthane (Sielic), Zenovi (Dae)

You communicated with Marcos via text, and he's smoothing things over with the Spirts of DC. You conveyed the cult survivors out of the storm sewer. Lisette had arranged for contractors with makeshift ambulances to transport the civilians, and they met you in the storm. Lottie and Smokes took Mordicai and Celia Thatcher to Primex DCHQ, while the rest of the team took Cheyenne Shaw, Thiago Sanchez, and Gil Hadrick to R3M DCHQ. Mordicai recovered and made a deal: he gets to claim credit for rescuing Celia, and he owes you. At Primex, Celia and Mordicai got medical treatment. Mordicai introduced Lottie and Smokes to Estelle Pelham and Harold Zhao. Lottie perfectly told the story that Raptor Red helped Mordicai (n20). Pelham thanked you for helping rescue Celia. Through Pelham and Zhao, you formally established your covert action team with Primex and the Rational Ascendancy. Meanwhile, at R3M, Zenovi, Delly, and Ulthane gave initial counseling to Cheyenne and Thiago. Cheyenne has particularly deep trauma, since her girlfriend was eaten by Avinos. Thiago is partly processing on his trauma by focusing on the technology and medicine involved in his treatment. Lottie and Ikhilzis interrogated Gil. Gil claimed to be a victim and agreed to provide details on the cult's spread and victims. Later, back at the Bunker, Smokes and Zenovi counseled Billy Banks. They got more details to corroborate Gil's story. You gave the Tome of Fungal Promises to R3M for destruction.

  • It's Tuesday, January 30, 2019. It's about 12:15 pm.
  • There's a heavy winter storm raging across the NCR (National Capital Region). There are still many people driving around.
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly pats Lottie on the back. Well done.
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood helps secure and makes sure everything.
  • Team is splitting, Laeni, Zenovi, and Lottie heading to Primex, rest of the team heading to REM
  • (Lottie): Laeni-blank, Smokes, and Lottie to Primex
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "I think.... when the river freezes, I will go ice training again."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Does the river freeze solid enough? It's huge."
  • Fonn Razorenth: "I would think a frozen river would be a security hazard in a city like this." Fonn pauses. "Well, depending on how thick the ice is."
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Precisely. It works best after storms like this, that form thin ice sheets on water. You dance to keep ahead of the cracking ice; if you're slow or off balance, you fall in." She grins, wide and a little sharp. "Good motivation."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "... or a good way to die. Hypothermia is still a threat to us, I believe."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Just make sure someone is with you when you're doing this training. Accidents happen."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Like one does not use free weights in a gym."
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "It is, but we rely on pur family guardian- like a patron spirit, sort of- The Great Cat- to help keep us warm. They do that for thier pride, in the cold desert nights, where temperatures can drop below freezing quite easily."
  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn raises an eyebrow, amused. "I might want to try this... ice dancing. Perhaps with nearby reliable warmth."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood raises an eyebrow at Delly. "You're saying, that if I removed your equipment and chucked you into the water in the blizzard, you'd be fine?"
  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn snorts
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "For a time, I could handle myself, probably- though that depnds on your expertise. AS it is, I am still very much a cub in the woods. Maintaining the Song, the Crowning Aura, isn't precisely without cost, as you saw." Delly shrugs.
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Until you're certain of that, please keep someone with you if you're doing this... ice training. Accidents happen. Pride doesn't keep anyone alive."
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Of course. I had planned on asking Lae'eni anyways." She smiles at him, battered by the fight but quite unbowed. "You may think me somewhat reckless -not without inaccuracy- but I'm not stupid."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "I didn't think you were stupid. But sometimes people forget things in their eagerness. I have, more than once."
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly cuckles a little. "Very fair. If you wanted to spar, sometime, by the way, OI'd be game."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Certainly, be more than happy to."
  • Lae'nei blank and the contractor remain in the panel van at Primex
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly visibly perks up. "Excellent."
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly cleans Snow up a little, meticukously, kissing his nose. She sheathes her weapons as they enter the building, making sure her disguises are up.
  • Fonn Razorenth: Fonn adjusts her earrings. She swears there's still some trash mushroom gunk stuck on them.
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Instincts are powerful, miss. Trust yours."
  • Zenovi counsels Cheyenne (n20) and learns that Avinos was eating his cultists
  • Follow up with the rescued kids who got fungal-infected.
  • Lottie: Lottie represents REM but she is not trying to be memorable
  • Zhao likes Lockbox and isn't happy about a consideration of shifting away from it
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Chain: "For the record, I am opposed to the lockbox - but it is always best to find allies - especially your enemies - in other courts."
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): c: "Harold Zhao is somewhere around the levl of racist pond scum, from what I remember from the tutorial, but it will be a good source of information."
  • Fonn Razorenth: "Perhaps we should invest in R3M pins." Fonn digs around in one of her shirt pockets and pulls out her employee badge/id. "Or something similar we can wear during operations we can take credit for."
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: C: "Those who are absolutely certain of their own intellect are the ones most easily tricked by it. He will consider me a lesser scientist, due to my specialty, and will love condescending to me from his ivory tower. In doing so, he's likely to talk about all sorts of things, or be willing to offer insights from his own perspective. Primex may not be, as a whole, ethically correct - but to assume that they aren't useful is to ignore the order of things. I think of them as the Court of Autumn. It is not so inaccurate an analogy."
  • Zenovi of the Ágrioxýlo Tribe: Zenovi's exterior, as they speak to Cheyenne and Tiago, ia hard to read. There's a restrained frenziness to their demeanor, unsurprising for a doctor. Even in their gentleness, their a clinical edge to their emotional state that masks whatever thoughts they may be having toward their patience or towards their experiences of the day.
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "And fonn - shame. Do we need credit for doing the right thing?"
  • Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "When are you free to spar, Ikilthis?"
  • Fonn Razorenth: "I meant that we occasionally perform missions that... we'd be better off staying anonymous for."
  • Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Should be good sometime tomorrow."
  • Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw [Elvish]: [Translation] "The tallest tree attracts lightning."

  • RR questions Billy at the Bunker, corroborating Gil's intel on the victims (23 total), then routes him to the No Longer a Sleeper Options program
