RR 1-14: Ambushing Leaper Sentinel Packs, Rescuing Billy Banks

Team: Delly (Cael), Fonn (Dragon), Ikhilzis (Schizo), Lae'eni (Aslene), Lottie (Basil), Smokes (Blank), Ulthane (Sielic), Zenovi (Blank)

The team finished destroying the Frayed leapers. Then you trekked deep into the storms sewers. Using the damage to the Weave, you tracked two more groups of leapers standing sentinel. Each time, you ambushed the leapers and dispatch them before they could escape. In the last pack, you also rescued a Frayed-possessed human, by paralyzing the spirit within him. Billy Banks was infected with aberrant fungus. He had expected to become a "warrior of righteousness." You fed the Frayed spirit to Arkitalos. Ulthane recovered Frayed-tainted shotgun ammo. You can sense the heart of the Frayed corruption in a blacked-out section of the sewer ahead. Meanwhile, the storm runoff keeps rising.

• Alpha Leader: Fonn
• Beta Leader: Delly
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly... ripples. The air around her seems to shimmer a little with heat...
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn occasionally wipes her blade on an ever-depleting supply of rags. Whatever sewage she cleans off soon returns, but she continues claiming hygiene for as long as it lasts.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Those of you in the swift realize abruptly that Delly has /avoided/ being in the swift for a reason. Her elfin form has a few... additions here: specifically, monstrous bue crab claws that sprout from her back, and blue chitinous armor that goes up her neck to her cheeks like a faceguard. There's two small, fiery horns on her forehead, and catlike canines bigger than her fingers that jut from her teeth. One eye is gold, catlike, and one remains blue. Her elf hands (not the terrible crab claws, monstrous tings that they are) are red with blood.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks at Delly for just a moment, then nods briefly to her before continuing on.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "I don't want to talk about it." She doesn't quite look at the team. It's a mishmash of two creatures overlaying her elfin self.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "You do not have to,"
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "...Thank you."
• Lae'eni: Lae'eni moves team Triforce closer to one of the fading toads, her eyes tracing the shield curiously. A ding sounds on her forearm, and she lifts it up to watch the map. Her eyes briefly lift to take in Delly's accessories. Her head tilts to the side, intrigued. Her mouth opens to say something, but at Delly's words, she just closes it again and returns her eyes to her screen.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "...Later. Just., Not now. It's.... complicated."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood lets out a quiet hiss of understanding. Yeah, he gets complicated.'
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood assumes something is following him anyway if he can't be sure. Paranoia saves lives.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Snow, in the swift is five times as large, like a large dog, and looks downright /regal/, like a prince or king.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood is just simmering with barely controlled rage. Debris of emotions and other coming through are incinerated in the cold rage that surrounds him continually, the grip around his blade tight.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood slithers in the swift like speeding mamba towards the leaper, appearing behind it, then stabbing down into the creatures chest, then sliding it down to carve out the entrails of the creature.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Swift targets down."
• Fonn Razorenth: "Well done."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn was expecting the leaper to attack her, she's startled when it flees. If it were a sentient human, she'd call it cowardly. Nonhuman oponents are still new to her.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood whips his head as soon as the leaper appears in the swift, and with cold precision puts three bullets in the leaper's back.
• Lae'eni: Lae'eni"s head snaps back as the leaper she was holding dies, and she winces slightly. It's a monentary thing and she recovers, looking back out into the Swift. On her back, Whisper's giant shrike's head lifts above her head and turns it's eye towards Snow, watching it like a curious bird does.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Snow looks up at Whisper and cranes his head toward them, sniffing. There's a little nod there, one familiar to the other.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly seems to blink, like something has occured to her. Strangely.... the blood on her hands seems to fade, a little, and the glow of the fiery horns and golden eye grows brighter.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Good start so far."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood GLOWERS at the sewers in the swift. If there were actually kill teams down here, they'd be so effed. Sewers SUCK.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly frowns a little more and mutters something about moping. She wipes her hands on her pants until the red is gone, and then stands straighter. ...Her appearance seems... a little less monstrous, though /very/ strange.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood grumbles "Plastics are recycled, even my culture recognizes that...."
• Fonn Razorenth: frowns. "In my cultural experience, the crimes of the few outweigh the actions of the many."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood moves smoothly just to the surprised leaper, and decapitates it in a swift, clean strike.
• Fonn nonlethal took out the frayed shotgunnner then restrained it
• Lea'eni Uses psionic code to attempt to freeze the spirit inside the body
• Delly flares, the gold eye glowing, fire flickering off her in a vaugely catlike shape, as she leaps in front of the metaphorical exit, like a cat blocking a mouse. Don't /even/ think about it.
• Delly uses cat form and skills to Intimidate it to hold still
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: \/e 's body flares with psionic power, as a second pair of eyes appears above Ikhilzis' normal eyes, bright purple and seething with crackling energy.
• Smokes stabilizes and awakens the shotgunner
• Ulthane Stonebeard: Ulthane handles the shotgun, neatly inspecting it with practiced ease. He nods. "I am going to call you 'Bloom'."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: C: Sounds like he's a convert from the vision we had.
• Shotgunner is Billy Banks, Early Childhood major, Georgetown
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn looks both relieved and a little shaken. Solemnly, in the chain: "I nearly killed him."
• Lottie: Lottie suggests on the Chain that we should get him back to the bunker and debrief him. He seems to have intel regarding the man from our vision. Also, we don't want the RA to get to him first.
• Lottie: Also Lottie thinks edge-touched wannabe divine warriors are cool friends to have
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn concurs. It'd be good to get him SOME sort of rehibilitation, at the very least.
• Lottie: Lottie carries Billy back over the water so he doesn't get colder and has Smokes holding her elbow to not get lost in the sewer.
