Tuesday, March 16, 2027 ((2024-02-04))
Team: Alice (Cael), Crunch (Keneux), Dex (wot), Haze (Aslene)

We traveled towards the Wombat, with Dex driving and Crunch helping navigate. Dex and Crunch also continued repairing the Clydesdale and bringing its tactical systems online. Haze and her ravens started cleaning up the mess from the fight with the zombies. Alice scavenged some clothing and gear. We were stalked by a giant ironmaw vulture named Breozzorth, Lord of the White. Alice negotiated with him to not attack the Clydesdale or the Wombat, in exchange for four of the strange robots in the Wombat. We parked the Clydesdale and approached the Wombat in the Swift, with Crunch carrying the fusion core. In the reactor cube, we found PIKE robots building a jumpgate. PIKE robots are powered by bloodstones. Something about their work has triggered another device about 20 miles south.

  • Ironmaw Vulture
    • In the vast, tranquil expanse of a snowy landscape, a giant ironmaw vulture emerges as a formidable presence. Its expansive wings stretch wide, slicing through the cold air with ease. The vulture's feathers, resembling sheets of iron, shimmer under the winter sun, while its sharp, metallic beak and talons glint menacingly. As it glides gracefully over the pristine snow, the creature casts a daunting shadow, embodying the wild, untamed spirit of nature. The sight of this majestic bird, solitary against the serene white backdrop, inspires both awe and trepidation.
  • Ironmaw creatures absorb iron, for strength, plus an organ that tracks large concentrations of iron
  • Alice (Hermetia Liddel): Alice takes cue from Clamor and trill, turning and twisting with equal play to work with the storm instead of against it.
  • Turret is twin pulse lasers and can be used as CIWS
  • Perimeter has ground-facing claymore explosives
  • Clydesdale has tires with deployable metal studs. Can adjusted for traction vs. speed
  • Vulture is: Breozzorth, Lord of the White
  • It's about 2:30 pm
  • Haze (Aislynn): Haze is scrubbing the floor with a bucket of bleach water - and rinsing the spot with a bit of unbleached water mixed with a splash of holy water and humming a soft lullaby like song. Every so often she murmurs things like, "Red is not my favorite color...not at all."

  • If the Wombat has no cans, the Clydesdale could be carried sideways
  • Sensor data suggests multiple beings moving around inside using cutting and welding torches and similar tools
  • Breozzorth expects 4 bodies, no bloodstones
  • Alice (Hermetia Liddel): ...Alice suddenly freezes, a slight cessitation of all movement for a heartbeat.
  • Beings in the wombat may be building a transplanar device, and its power surges have triggered something ~20 miles to south to start rhythmically sending a ping signal
