RMS 1-8: Studying the Clydesdale and Ending the Storm

Team: Alice (Cael), Crunch (Keneux), Dex (wot), Haze (Aslene)

Alice arrived and joined the team. We swept the Clydesdale and support vehicles for evidence and retrievables. Haze bonded with the core keeper spirit of the fusion plant. She slowly coaxed it into ending the necrotic storm. Alice connected with one of the skunium outside and learned more about the demise of the LRC platoon. Crunch repaired the Clydesdale’s computer and used its telemetry history to locate the broken Wombat walker. Dex found several retrievables, searched the support vehicles, and reclaimed loot from the walker. Dex secured the thopter on the roof. With the help of the Humbled Crone, we got the Clydesdale powered up. We started traveling to the Wombat.

• Alice (Hermetia Liddel): Alice freezes, inhaling sharply. "...Hello," she says softly. "This data.... fits with my theories."
• Memory Bead: Two men are talking while studying a large silver cylinder in cargo bay. They are dressed in heavy winter gear with LRC insignia. They have light armor, rifles, and sidearms. The tall man says, “I think it was a mistake to bring it. We still can’t crack ‘er, much less get ‘er running. And it jes’ don’ feel right.” The scruffy man says, “Stow that attitude, Craig. We spent too much and lost too much on this op. If we don’t have the walker, at least we have this baby.” Craig shakes his head slowly. “I’m tellin’ you, it don’ feel right. Katie says it has some kinda wild primal aura that she can’ nail down. It could be doing somethin’ to us an’ we won’t even know.”
• LRC mercs seized the walker, but fusion plant shut down
• Mercs abandoned the walker and traveled on land towards Termalaine

• Haze: Haze is drawn almost against her will to the emotional bright spot in the Storage room. She cups the ephemeral emotional ball between her palms and with Dex leaning over her shoulder she opens up it's lock. Together they whisper words to the lock, watching as the links un-link. Then it opens and both are frozen for a second - the vision spread to everyone through the chain.

• Haze: -chain- It was a little messy. My team was dealing with a train incident when the Old Grandmother tagged Pebble with a vision. So Crunch and Dex and Pebble came here while me and the rest of the team figured out the train. So Crunch, Dex and Pebble did, yes.

• Alice (Hermetia Liddel): Alice seems deligheted and intruiged by the task. "I have never seen one in the wild before. I will be careful of the storm."

• Clydesdale drop pod accidentally deployed
• Alice (Hermetia Liddel): Alice freezes in her attempot to connect to the Humbled Crone. Then she laughs, softly, in an odd tone to herself. Alice focuses, sending an image of a pack of wolves, dark grey, evil looking, gaunt and ravenous, standing with one wolf in lighter silvery grey among them. The lighter wolf is snarling, leaving; wandering the forest. Then suddenly it is not alone, and then there's more, and then there's a full pack, and they stand against the black hungry wolves, teeth bared and snarling.

• Haze: As Haze helps over Crunch's shoulder she has one hand resting on top of the core and she's humming a playful, light tune softly - breaking the song to help him with a menu item interpretation or to translate an icon then returning to the pleasant hum.

• Contract included date of walker launch, code to access an external hatch, and coordinates (047.019) to deliver it
• Haze: Pulls footage to put together a package for the contractors that hired the mercs to steal the core later.
• Haze: Questions left to answer: Who was the contractor that hired them? How did they know how to disconnect the core? Is there anything to be learned from forensic search of the Clydesdale? Does the retrieved pornography provide info that will lead us to people that need freeing from slavery?
