RMS 1-6: Clearing the Clydesdale

Team: Crunch (Keneux), Dex (wot), Pebble (Basil)

Whispered Truths arrived with Jade team. Both teams of marshals worked on cleaning the NEX-3 train, physically and in the Swift. Pebble received a series of visions from the Humble Crone. The visions depicted the launch a new Wombat walker and its first battle. Crunch, Dex, and Pebble flew in a thopter to the site of interest. We found a wild necrotic magic storm surrounding an LRC Clydesdale mobile command center. The Humbled Crone protected us from the necrotic magic as we entered. We swept the Clydesdale, defeating five zombies. The zombies were LRC mercenaries. The source of the magic storm is a stolen walker fusion core.

• Pebble does a thorough cleansing of the train (raise)
• Humbled Crone gives Pebble a series of visions of a child walker being deployed for the first time, making its way west, and being in combat
• Crone sought partnership with Pebble

  • It was on route to Termalaine when it was lost in a snow storm
  • No intel since, but not enough time has passed to be alarmed

  • The launchers are configured to pull from the cans, giving the wombat a secondary role as a supplemental missile platform. However, it would usually fight beside larger walkers, like roamers.
• Cargo hauler walkers will be more vital because they also carry messages
• A reactor needs to be integrated into a walker and blessed to be sustainable long-term
• The Humbled Crone is focused on events in Icewind
• Dex and Pebble have the start of a ley line map of the plateau

• The site of interest has a wild magic necrotic storm around it, slowly killing the flora around it
• Battery: 1.5 hours of flight time spent, about 6 hours left
• Clydesdale is stationary and low power. Aboard is the source of the necrotic storm. The necrotic energy is primal and white necromancy (not malevolent). The storm is accidentally or deliberately discouraging random tampering with the Clydesdale (e.g., by fauna).
• 3 megafauna have burrowed into the ice around the convoy
• Clydesdale was manufactured by Primex, sold to Farwatch, stolen by LRC
• Manufactured after the Republic was founded, so this was never a vehicle owned by the Republic Army
• The megafauna are Skuniums (giant burrowing lizards), hiding under the ice from the necrotic storm
• Room to bunk is distorted enough to wedge in place
• The head is wrecked
• Dex set a charge at the head door
