RMJ 2-4: Battle Clean Up and Meeting Raptor Violet

Mission Report

Friday, March 12, 2027 ((2023-08-27))
Team: Balto (Cael), Doc (Dae), Key (Mike), Breaker (Wynnri), Pebble (Absent), Skadi (Aslene), Wraith (Mike)

We swept the wreckage for other threats and evidence. Breaker and Doc made contact with Gideon Langstaff inside his safe room. Gideon trusted us and came out. He's in bad shape from his extended time in the safe room, but he should fully recover. Pebble verified that the TIN drones weren't powered by bloodstones.

Wraith and Key found a tablet with copies of the airship's logs. Skadi made a tentative deal with the air elemental and lightning elemental (Storm Surge at Dusk and Bad Diode). Balto kept watch. Raptor Violet approached and peacefully made contact. Violet is tracking new slave collar tech based on Ithiriki control gems. They are heading to Kambra. We set course to rejoin Whispered Truths.

• Balto (Teagan Cordova): Balto helps Togo get up, ad the two turn their faces to the cold wind, letting it ruffle their hair. They both start slightly on the arrival of the elemental; Togo leeeeans over to click at it curiously.

• Skadi (Reezelyn): -notes for self - want to make sure exec has the best possible weather survival gear before we exit - feel some hurry towards getting him ready to exfil cuz who knows what's coming - also - want to search the exec room for any comps/files/notes - but maybe not in front of him.-

• Gideon was Republic Regular Guard, started in IT, moved to info war, then moved to Primex
• Balto (Teagan Cordova): Togo is very excited- he jumps and leaps around Balto for a moment, yipping and doing that strange whalenoise clickhowl, before she settles him. But she's excited too- her eyes shine as she beholds the griffin and the worm.
• Wraith: Wraith is permanently glue to this guy, and drags a chair into the room to keep an eye on him unless called to do something else
• Skadi (Reezelyn): Reeze notices, and there is the sense of a nod of respect through the chain.
• Breaker (Magni): Bring me duct tape (threat)
• Breaker (Magni): Moradin, please bless this plasma charge, that it might render this blasphemy to our crafts into mildly radioactive vapor, Bin'egam
• Skadi (Reezelyn): -chain to Magni- Please don't let that server box out of your sight - even if you need to take it into the head with you.

• Ahklut took out the TIN drone that tried to escape
• Breaker (Magni): -On the chain- Short of using an Ontokinetic warhead or an Eigen weapon, this thing is as 'safe' as I can make it.
• Max: The League of the Rusted Crown is developing an improved slave collar.
• Max: They found some Ithriki control gems, which they're integrating into new prototype collars.
• Max: We don't know what Ithriki was. It might be an empire somewhere in the multiverse, or perhaps the empire has fallen, or it may be the name of a person or organization operating in that empire.
• Max has an Ithriki control gem embedded in her chest.
• Max: One of our allies, Primex, had intel on new control tec emerging on Sihblos, possibly related to Ithriki control gems.
• Max: We're heading to Kambra, to treat with the dragon sovereigns.
• Gideon is one of several siblings successfully evacuated from their clan walker from an attack by Childstealers. The clan walker and most of its crew didn't survive.
• Skadi (Reezelyn): *through the chain* We may be able to bring him back to the Republic side, if we can ascertain why he went to work for Primex*
• Wraith: *through the chain* I'm just going to buddy up to him, I've worked for Primex. I'll flash him my id and see what I can get just from being nice
• Ivan Bridges (he/him), Human merchant captain of the Anne-Marie
• Ship is employee owned
• Tablet shows that server probably brought on board outside of Republic territory
• Airship wasn't in a hurry to get from New Liberty to Icewind Plateau
• Memory Bead: Three humans are trying to rewire some complex technology, in a cold, dimly-lit room on a ship. They are wearing jumpsuits with Primex logos. They are sweaty and lightly injured. Two of them are crowded into a corner of the room where the roof has partially collapsed. The third stands guard with a pistol. An electronic device the size of a refrigerator has been crushed. The two techs are trying to connect cables from the damaged device to another, smaller device strapped to a handcart.
• The main transceiver was damaged in the crash
• The crew tried to use the TIN transceiver, but miswired it to the simulation of the artifact
• Breaker (Magni): Eminent domain, civil forfeiture, Over my dead body ye bastard
• Gideon tried to hack from inside the safe room, slowed the Reavernet spread but couldn't stop it, finally managed to activate the auxiliary distress signal
• Mama Green Crunch hollows out the wreckage, leaving a shell for flora and fauna
• Max thinks the research was towards applying Reaver tec to aggressively control other systems

• Skadi (Reezelyn): *Told Max that she can say that us Marshall's would be much more likely to say yes to the communications gear they asked for - if they choose to help Raptor Violet with what they're doing.*
