Details

  • Max: It's Tueday, Feb 13, 2018.
  • Your fleet includes the Tardigrade, Bronislav, the Horochanz, and Temerity. The cruisers are cloaked and spread out around Ravnica 5 to watch for any approaching ships. Bron is guarding the entrance to the lab.
  • Aboard the Tardigrade: Raptor Blue (including Max Witkey), Bronislav, Chuck Nielson ((Ari)), Magnus (gryphon rider) & Skyfall (his gryphon), Mikell Pavlovich (talnoksi tynker), Ordin Zarn (traumatized bard), Oskar (uplifted metal tree), Res (taciturn ranger), Rictus ((Razas/SchizoClarity)), Aedin, Farida ((Kitsunewill))
  • Also aboard the Tardigrade, with his pod in the cargo bay: Nantuk Gribben
  • You're aboard the Lurking Doom, a Kikai-class light cruiser leased to the Cult of Rakdos by the LRC. The captain was Zara Crispino, lizardfolk (she/her)
  • You're in combat spacesuits, except for: Shiro (who's in his custom power armor).
  • You know that the timeline, the Lurking Doom is supposed to deploy a dropship to Lab 86G.

  • Proud and Sylvena pull all the data they can from the Lurking Doom
  • Rakdos didn't waste much time or energy trying to understand their leased vessel
  • Ordin uses magic to reconnect with his father's time aboard this ship, with Jane's help as a bird
  • Kromrak loads the dropship with food, water, valuables, repair materials and tools, and Rakdos worship paraphenalia
  • Isabelica inspects the mechadead bodies
  • Jane uses a lyrebird form to perfectly mimic Ordin's playing (n20)
  • Ordin and Jane draw out the backstory, including Tundin and Bree trying to get clear of the Circus Divergia. Tundin was double-crossed and taken to Amonkhet, where he was turned into a living archive
  • Ordin goes back to the future
  • Proud plots a course for the Lurking Doom that puts it cloaked in a parking orbit around Ravnica 5
  • Sylvena loots the captain's room and puts the goods on the dropship
  • Sylvena has a book to access a VIP bank account in the Orzhov Syndicate
  • Proud has the lease for the Lurking Doom
  • Jane takes 3 control rods (mechadead ape, mechadead leopard, tin soldier)

  • You're under the ocean on Ravnica 5, a water planet. You're in Lab 86G.
  • Aedin accompanies the team at all times but never initiates a conversation. He can only be perceived by the team.
  • The fungal zombies are controlled by a corrupt sentient presence, in the northern, deepest part of the lab. You've glimpsed it in the Swift.
  • You can turn power on and off in the sub-basement of Ops. Currently only the southwest sector has power. Each sector's security systems and environmental controls are isolated to that sector.
  • Belica has a fungal zombie. Proud has Marina's badge.
  • You have Marina Tasis with you.
  • Marina: Primex wants super soldiers. Combine wants to advance science, especially to find beings with a gene that makes them better able to be enhanced to bond with constructs like graven hulks. They agreed on a prototype that would detect beings with demonic taint. The Combine wants to catch spies from the Cult of Rakdos inside their operation. The prototype is in the console.
  • Max reports that the Horochanz' sensors indicate another cloaked vessel may have entered orbit and deployed a dropship to Lab 86G. You now know this is the Lurking Doom.
  • You're in the northwest corner of the lab. You're preparing to breach the bio lab.
  • Jane briefly explains Emlya path quests to Aedin

  • Team fights the infestation
  • Lyndi is concentrating on keeping this node from alerting the hivemind
  • Sylvena 2 confirms that the incoming dropship is from the Lurking Doom, and Proud has programmed it to slave to Bron upon arrival outside the lab
  • Isabelica scans the heart of the hive from the Swift (n20)
  • Two demons: Arnoa the Mudeater and Kagroth Sailors' Dread
  • The Rakdos spies tried to bring two demons through but something went wrong. They're stuck: one Grid side, one Swift side, and ensnared by the heart of the fungal hive

  • After the fight, Kromrak is overcome with emotion
  • Isabelica: Belica sends good vibes through the chain
  • Jane Irwin: Bear!Jane rumbles, chuffing and leaning against him, a rock solid weight, warm and furry.
  • Aedin observes the team's respone to Kromrak's reaction with his steady, unobtrusive attention
  • Sylvena: In the chain, to Kromrak, privately: "It is okay to mourn the death of someone you used to be."
  • Proud starts a discussion of the Adintec Conspiracy
  • Max: We know that the 9 Hells played a decisive role in getting adintec into Nicol Bolas' claws
  • Max: And the 9 Hells are where Tiamat is imprisoned
  • Max: Quarsis, the elder brain that seemed to have let adintec get found and developed, wants to perfect ceremorphosis on dragons. With baby steps that have included fae and dragonborn.
  • Max: Jane's contact on the inside, Romulus, said that rebels on Amonkhet sacrificed themselves at Adinzar's activation to trap Bolas inside
  • Max: Bolas has all confidence and no doubt. Aedin has doubt.
  • Max: Iatro Veritris, the Emerald Cavalier: a elf bard (they/them) from Tessera. They are a famous singer-songwriter and cold-blooded duelist. Now styles himself "the Mindmaster" and attacked General John Lincoln.
  • Max: We expect to see him on Ravnica at the celebration later this week.
  • Proud Flame: Max, a thought I need to capture: Giythanki may be the best possible source to understand Illithid tech outside of illithid themselves.
  • Shiro reports that Testing includes: 6+ zombies, 4+ mounds, 1+ vine lords, 1 demon Gridside, 1 demon Swiftswift
  • Max: If you can take down the heart of the hive, the remaining nodes and their forces may be controllable by Belica
  • Max: Testing has waist-high water
