Party: Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene), Jane Irwin (Cael), Proud Flame (Aunne), Shiro (DragoN), Sylvi (Daewendriel), Kromrak (Sielic), Bella (Basil)
Leaving: Haelra Vayn (Basil)

Haelra announces her decision to leave the team, to parent and help build the collegium. Gatriel explains that without a god to serve, she will perish. Ordin tells some of his story, including naming an original disseminator of adintech: Gerzil the Pernicious, a devil who serves Mephistopheles. Lyndi has a conversation with Naluni Pogray. Clell and Ougyl brief the team on an op: attacking a League armada to free slaves and seize lazotep. The team plans. The ambush starts.

Weekly d20s Notes

  • Proud finds a Sensation dealer (Cynthis Rucker) and a Sensate tout (Denris Ramsey)
  • Lyndi meets Gakkil Runemail, a Bleaker who hangs with the Sensates, and they laugh at his dour responses to sensation experiences

Haelra's Sabbatical

  • Haelra explains her decision to leave the team, to focus on parenting and helping Danja create the collegium
  • Substitute

Gatriel's Problem

  • Gatriel returns
  • I've been conferring with colleagues, other celestials in service to gods
  • Many of the orders of gods of war see a war coming
  • However, they have rejected my interest in serving; I infer that they all don't wish to offend Lord Tempus
  • Lord Tempus has caused my name to be stricken from the book
  • My days are numbered; I would spend them fighting evil and disorder

  • Some discussion of Gatriel pledging to Dol'modeen
  • DM: > Jane checks in with Big D, but signs are unclear
  • DM: > Lyndi assigns Gatriel to help jane with the shrine project

Ordin's Story

  • Gaps in my memory
  • Bree Ambersheaf, the Dawn Chaser
  • Did work for the Circus Divergia, then stopped
  • Tundin used in an early experiment, Spring 2003
  • Tried to backtrack his progress, including visiting Icewatch on Tessera in November, 2006, met Jane, Proud, and Cyrus
  • Illithid brain-eating versus mind-eating
  • Knowledge, skills, memories, emotions
  • Fixated on souls
  • Their knowledge, their power
  • Experiments on humanoids, fey, and dragonborn
  • Created a dragonborn illithid, Keq'nahdeer, who calls themself a drathid
  • Mesiah
  • Was some kind of ambassador to the Reaver Combine

  • Amonkhet
  • Nicol Bolas raising an army
  • Creating the Black Pyramid
  • Rumors that some of the architects were inside, perhaps to spring the trap

  • Adintech, bloodstones
  • Investigation lead to me to Gerzil the Pernicious, a devil who serves Mephistopheles

  • DM: > Ordin left his partial copy of Tundinzarn with a friend in his Sigil.
  • Max: > will collaborate with Shiro on better hacking DABOS

Overnight

  • Naluni Pogray contacts Lyndi
  • House Pogray learned that you got your man back
  • Original bargain not possible
  • Offers to trade access keycodes for League starships, in exchange for helping her sister get out of Sigil
  • Lyndi asks whether Naluni is receptive to allying with Tide factions
  • Naluni is non-committal, talks about drow needing to adapt
  • Naluni sends codes

Welcome Isabelica

  • Max: she's a past R3M asset, and a possible asset in Sigil
  • Original training via the Gray Chamber on Tessera
  • Introductions

The Glory of Kefnet is Coming to Sigil

  • Clell Omri and Ougyl Icnod arrive to brief
  • Mission Brief 5-8
  • Ougyl is excited
  • A chance to prove yourself to the Unbroken Tide, while striking a blow against the League and Duchess Caterina Berrett
  • Lead on an incoming League armada
  • Barge of refugees from Amonkhet, the Glory of Kefnet
  • Found and captured by the League
  • Likely facing interrogation, then enslavement
  • Also carrying a large supply of lazotep
  • Raptor Blue will strike at the armada and liberate the barge
  • Tide forces will skirmish with reinforcements and prevent them from joining the fight
  • Meanwhile, my friend Factor Icnod will be at the Hall of Speakers, presenting evidence that the League is trying to bring hazardous cargo into the city
  • By saving Sigil from this cargo, you will be eligible for Medals of Civic Virtue
  • The laws are such that any recipient of such a medal has special protections in Sigil
  • Protections include amnesty for all past crimes and canceling of all bounties
  • We can offer Unbroken Tide troopers, if you want more warriors with you

  • Towed by a League light cruiser, Kikai class ("Opportunity" in Japanese), the Riptide
  • Two escort fighters
  • They'll expect an attack
  • League defends their property with the unexpected (e.g., Ramshead had two Loxodas)
  • Gravity storms

Planning for the Op

  • Discussion of tactics
  • Plan includes first disabling the fighters, then the cruiser
  • Meanwhile, a strike team lands on the barge to secure it
  • Final assignments and preparations

Ambushing the Armada

  • Armada emerges from a Hornwood vertex
  • Fighters are drake drones
  • Shiro and Sylvi deftly hack the fighters (n20 x2) and steer them directly into each other, significantly damaging both
  • Tardigrade fires rail gun, but the cruiser's shields deflect it
  • Bronislav launches, dinging the hatch
  • Tardigrade launches missiles and fires lasers
  • Some noticeable damage to the cruiser
  • Bron and Kromrak clumsily dive beneath the cruiser and spiral out and back, before reaching the deck of the barge
  • Gatriel: "This is going to be a good fight."
  • The strike team disembarks
