RB 5-16: Investigating the Aux Bridge & Approaching the Chapel

Mission Report

Party: Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene), Jane Irwin (Cael), Proud Flame (Aunne), Shiro (DragoN), Sylvi (Daewendriel), Kromrak (Sielic), Isabelica (Basil), Farida (Kitsunewill)

The team finishes their battle against the undead on the auxiliary bridge. They search the bodies and the bridge area. Sylvi and Shiro collaborate to take the server room with them in Shiro's Bottle of Holding. Proud finds a magic item called a THACO. The team uses cameras and their own spirits to recon the data center. The Cradle of Reason seems to be the center of the divine conflict. The team decides that taking the Agontah chapel should shift the balance of the conflict. They approach the chapel stealthily and prepare to attack the undead guards.

Battle Concluded

  • Sylvi kills the despot
  • Gatriel kills a screamer
  • The Heart of the Depths pulses each time an undead is killed
  • Lyndi kills the last hammerer

After the Battle

  • The team searches the aux bridge
  • Jane finds the despot's command ID and gives it to Sylvi
  • Isabelica discerns a chemical agent in the corpses
  • The Agontahi controlled their people using a toxin that required a regular antidote


  • Shiro puts the server room in the Bottle of Holding


  • Gatrial and Phobos will take the bodies to main engineering to burn them
  • Gatriel to Braid: How do you feel about serving?
  • Braid: Serving? I owe my current form to my creator. I was but spirit before this form.
  • Gatriel: But a spirit? You were a being of freedom. I was truly made to serve. But you were not, at least it doesn't seem so.
  • Braid: All spirits are born and die from causes that mortals cannot or will not comprehend. But all of us, including you and that weapon you carry, can have free will.


  • With help from Max, Proud finds a Transdimensional Holistic Accuracy Calibration Optic (THACO)
  • Max says, Check that closer
  • Proud uses despot's thumb to unlock a hidden panel
  • Auxiliary Bridge targeting assist system
  • Bron recognizes it as a powerful magic item
  • Channels the tactical instincts of war spirits


  • Sylvi gets video of the data center and the Cradle of Reason
  • The whole compartment has been burned clean
  • The Cradle is the center of the conflict: white lights, black lights
  • Phobos and Sigrun will function as messenger spirits, to provide real-time intel to the team as they move through the ship
  • Sylvi also gets video data of the area around the chapel

Approaching the Chapel

  • Team travels by transit sphere to near the chapel
  • Tardigrade wasp and Collingwood drive the transit spheres
  • Tardigrade troubled by bond magic
  • Jane reassures them that the team won't bind spirits like that


  • Crewmember pushing a cart, missing a wheel, scraping on the deck, bloated lunch trays
  • Belica coaxes a zombie to give up and move on
  • Has tattoo of Wavy Symbol
  • Belica animates the soulless zombie


  • The team is super stealthy, passing by two crowds
  • Briefing room: ghosts of teenage cadets, gunned down
  • Cafeteria: ghosts holding a wake for the dead from an earthquake in Santago Fernuc


  • The team approaches the chapel doors and the undead guards
  • Chapel is guarded by 4 hammerers and 4 screamers, under the command of a despot
