RB 5-14: PQ: Into the Yuan-ti Nest

Mission Report

Party: Jane Irwin (Cael), Sylvi (Daewendriel), Shiro (DragoN), Kromrak (Sielic), Isabelica (Basil), Farida (Kitsunewill)
Back on the Invictus: Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene), Proud Flame (Aunne)

Most of the Raptors are brought to the Tower of Brass Leaves in Sigil by Emyla. She directs them to finish the path quest of clearing the yuan-ti cell from the basements of the tower. The team carefully enters the basement. They find a room full of yuan-ti and kill them quickly. They find supplies and living spaces. Finally, they approach a broken space of malignant power, where the yuan-ti are apparently bleeding a bound green dragon to tamper with some eggs. The space includes the roots of Grandfather Brass, suggesting that his power is somehow also part of the ritual. The team attacks.

Back to the Tower

  • Most of the team is transported to the Tower of Brass Leaves in Sigil


  • Doorway lights up, Emyla (deva), Angel of Bahamut steps through

  • Nov 14, yesterday, two Shadow Walkers, Haelra & Perfidy, departed Sigil, to cross the Astral Plane to Earth
  • You are given a Path Quest


  • You stand in the Tower of Brass Leaves
  • Significant to the future of Sigil and the multiverse, in ways that will become clear
  • Before they left, the Shadow Walkers collaborated with their new allies, in the Unbroken Tide, to challenge the League's claim on the Tower of Brass Leaves


  • Emyla is confused by Farida's presence and checks with Jane: is this Lyndi?
  • Jane clarifies
  • (Apparently time travel magic is imperfect for an angel, perhaps especially in Sigil)


  • The League won the deed from a member of the Smallfolk Guild, by cheating in a game of chance
  • The League drove out the businesses here
  • Rumor was the devils of Sigil were getting a new home
  • But the League didn't deal with the tower proper
  • The problems here are significant
  • The Harmonium has driven out the League from the out buildings
  • The smallfolk have prayed to their gods, and their gods have bartered with Lord Bahamut
  • Lord Bahamut was receptive, because he views the Shadow Walkers, Raptor Blue, and the Unbroken Tide with favor
  • Once again, I have taken advantage of your Unbound nature to move you through time, temporarily


  • Emyla...
    • Gives Jane a corruption tracking floating crystal
    • Gives Sylvi a ring of brass keys, each with a signature of 3 gems


  • Jane asks about Draco
  • Emyla says that the Amphora of the Sovereign was an ordeal for them, but they survived and grew
  • Draco and their Knight (Cyrus) are doing well
  • Emyla says watch for a gift for Draco in Jane's future


  • Emyla explains that Daniel, the intelligent ape, has left the Tower

Into the Tower

  • Team retraces the route Jane, Sylvi, and Haelra took last time
  • The bodies of the slain yuan-ti are still where they were


  • Team notices snake motifs in the wall and floor decorations
  • Belica remembers that physical reality is bendable within the Tower
  • It's influenced by the inhabitants


  • Team finds and bypasses...
  • Trap string, with bell
  • Team finds lesser supply room

Fireball in the Dining Room

  • Team finds dining room
  • 8 yuan-ti in the dining room
  • Belica kills most with a Delayed Blast Fireball
  • Team kills the rest
  • Abomination has scimitar with nightmarish decoration
  • Farida breaks it


  • Team finds den room
  • Two pet snakes

  • Team finds armory
  • Not an impressive collection

The Nest

  • Team senses they're approaching the heart of the corruption/evil
  • They ready up
  • They descend


  • Green dragon bound and hurt
  • Nightmare speaker leading the yuan-ti
  • Anathema protecting her
  • Three pure bloods on the frontline
  • In the back: a clutch of eggs, apparently being warped by blood taken from the green dragon
  • The eggs are tucked among the massive metal roots of Grandfather Brass


  • Jane orders the attack
  • Farida and Sylvi charge in
  • Shiro's cannon finishes off a pure blood
  • Kromrak casts Force Cage on the anathema
