RB 4-18: Saving Cyrbin & Arriving at Sigil Station

Mission Report

Party: Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene), Jane Irwin (Cael), Cyrus Riggs (Sielic), Proud Flame (Aunne), Haelra Vayn (Basil), Shiro (DragoN), Sylvi (Daewendriel), Vae'gaun (Razas)

The team circles back, warily, and finds the mindspider hull stripped of valuables. They encounter a phlogiston ephemeral of Cyrbin Salmonleaf: a gnome slave from Tessera who was killed when the other neogi plundered the ship. Haelra and Jane coax Cyrbin into the Heart of the Depths, in order to leave the phlogiston. The team resumes course. They briefly converse with Captain Amenstria Trissona of the T'Aramont Grand Navy. They transit the Hornwood Vertex to Sigil. The remarkable city has changed into a kind of space station. The team docks and meets two factioneers. They enter a lift to the surface, but they're caught in an ambush.

In the Deep Flow

    • Taken at the trade moot; processed through Ramshead; shipped in a ship's hold alongside caged animals; saw a distinct symbol (3 broken circles); sold to neogi
  • Haelra and Jane coax the soul into the Heart of the Depths
  • The team finds almost nothing of value left on the mindspider
  • DM: > Tapestries ruined by the attempt to take them; feature neogi in triumphant scenes

  • Jane Irwin: Jane takes samples of the Neogi stuff [biosample]. Ew.
  • The team returns to the Tardigrade
  • The Tardigrade destroyed the mindspider hull before departing, ensuring that it would never be used again.

  • In Bron, the team circles Sigil to take in the changes
  • The team docks where Delanos recommended


  • Two humanoid factioneers greet the team
  • Dockmaster: Feresin Ravaric, half-elf duelist (Fighter 5+, he/him/his), Fraternity of Order
  • Dock Clerk: Ametha Northmug, half-orc bureaucrat (Sorcerer 5+, she/her/hers), Fated
  • The factioneers argue about whose authority the team should recognize
  • The team recognizes Ravaric's authority


  • Near the shaft, a sign with Sigil Factions logos: "If you're a namer or joiner, identify yourself to the Dockmaster Dock Clerk Dockmaster."
  • Lyndi rewrites sign: "Dockmaster Traveler"


  • Bodies being offloaded
    • The Brash Baron, tried to sail into the Maelstrom without a Hornwood Solution
    • We've been fishing bodies out of the gravity storms for days
