Battle Continues

  • Bolinoth causes waking dreams for many Raptors
  • Bolinoth grapples Raph and heavily wounds him
  • Raph casts Finger of Death on Bolinoth
  • Taguzoth casts Phantasmal Force on Jane
  • Lyndi damages Taguzoth
  • Quasits and corp troopers fight; quasits do better
  • While Taguzoth is restrained, Lyndi orders Colby to take the kill shot; he hits (Nat 20), causing Final Death; draws away Raph's power in the process
  • Phobos knocks Raph down
  • Chuck grapples Holloway
  • Cyrus casts Warding Wind
  • Quill casts Shatter with Channel Divinity, causing Bolinoth to start dying
  • Jane casts Entangle over most of the battlefield
  • Bolinoth: "You pathetic fools. Adinzar is coming. You are not prepared."; dies without Final Death
  • Raptors take Holloway prisoner, finish the quasits

Aftermath

  • Quill, then Chuck, record Holloway
  • Jane heals two poisoned corp troopers, saving their lives; third trooper surrendered and helps his squadmates recover
  • Ryu guards prisoners
  • Holloway: "Asher Grayfeather [Lyndi's cousin] was at a Mambas poker game in Chicago, met Dante Hyland, signed up to be a test subject, my lord's servants held him prisoner, I can tell you what they did to him, and even how you might be able to help him heal"
  • Quill tends to Raph, Ed tends to Colby
  • Max: "Talarin reports that they detected a cross-over event--the timing corresponds with Colby shooting Taguzoth. If they detected it, it's likely Farwatch did as well. You may have a response team on route."
  • With help from Max, Lyndi and Cyrus prepare to invoke a section of the Rational Ascendancy charter to keep Holloway and the corp troopers as prisoners of war
  • Quill questions Raph about what's in the basement
  • Ryu (with Draco) escorts Raph and Colby back to the Fort through the undercity
  • While Lyndi guards the prisoners, the other Raptors explore the basement
  • Raptors find altar to Taguzoth, with more bones (including children), and a portal under construction, in a music classroom under renovation with asbestos abatement containment
  • Quill smashes portal with bat; Raptors start the process of cleansing the demonic altar
  • Farwatch forces arrive at elementary school, lead by Captain Lashell Kinton
  • Publicly, the FBI calls the event a dirty bomb threat
