Thursday Morning

• Questioning Lisette and Colby
• Colby: Ryu, Jane, and Lyndi
  • Cooperates immediately
  • When he was 15 (in 2015), Raph went to a night market on south side looking for a way to get revenge on bullies, got summoning book from a creepy guy named Leech
  • Explains how the summoning happened, including each teen sacrificing something (Colby sacrificed his lacrosse stick--his dream of sports)
  • Demon started out a small ball of fur and teeth
  • The demon grew and changed, into a lizard-like thing
  • By spring 2017, the demon started drawing animals to it; it drew a dog, killed it, and possessed it; Colby and Lisette were freaked out and stopped coming to the theater
  • Early Oct 2017: Colby went to night market to find a solution, met Strazuul, signed contract, got Helm of Liquid Imagination (which looks like a jagged crown) in exchange for bargain to kill demon
  • Colby left his copy of the contract in a shoebox under his bed
  • Colby maybe wants to study physical therapy
• Lisette: Quill and Ed
  • Quill gives her a sandwich
  • Cooperates immediately
  • Tells a similar story to Colby's
  • Explains her attempt to sacrifice her book (learning), but instead her compact mirror shattered and cut her cheek (beauty)
  • Got text from Raph to meet her to run away, texted Colby to meet Raph for an intervention, but Colby turned it into a fight
  • Tells them about Frankie's sacrifice: butter knife (his mother's trust)
  • Lisette maybe wants to study rehab, has been volunteering at a VA hospital
• Lyndi talks team through routing Colby and Lisette through counseling, then possible careers in the Edge via R3M or allies
• Draco explains that the Banshee may be a conjured shapeshifting being
• Weather today is stormy
• Raptors don different appearances before they travel (to muddle anyone trying to track them)
• Team makes plans about getting Colby's contract: Ed & Ryu
  • They find the contract where he said (shoebox under bed)
  • Discover a pretty typical teenage boy's room (lacrosse stuff, weights & fitness, some colleges scouting him)
• Other Raptors go to deal with the Banshee
  • Triangulate from train station to where it likely is in the air
  • Some lore chatter about devilish gifts
  • Lyndi consults with Logan Pearson about dealing with beings conjured by devil gifts; lots of unknowns (devils? undead? different conjurations require different approaches)
  • Max: All the lore, and I mean all the lore, on devilish gifts says they burn you in the end.
  • Jane approaches some pigeons and befriends them, turns into a mouse and rides on a bird
  • Draco Drone goes with her
  • Jane the mouse hits the cloaked Banshee and it communicates with her psychically
  • I am Bronislav, War Spirit, Sentinel 1st Class of the Goldwood Spires
  • Max: Goldwood Spires is a vast library in the Feywild, believed to be co-terminus with Chicago.
  • Max: According to R3M's data, no one from the Prime Material Plane has had reliable contact with the Feywild since the late 1800s, as part of the Breakwater.
  • Jane and Bronislav work out Jane the mouse climbing through the guts of the Banshee to the cockpit
  • Jane deactivates Remote Piloting; Bron freed
  • Bron glories in his flight capabilities
  • Bronislav: I hail from the best of the Outer Planes, Arborea. I came to the Goldwood Spires by contract with the High Lord Librarian. I serve as a sentinel and trainer, in exchange for access to the materials on warfare.
  • Jane guides Bron back to the Fort
• Jane reads the contract (Save vs. Wis: 13)
  • Colby must cause final death to Taguzoth by New Year's Eve or forfeit his soul; if he's successful he must return the Helm
