Gar Velen (they/them) is a revered folk hero among the Sihblosian nomads. They have long, silver hair often braided with blue frostweave, piercing ice-blue eyes, and skin kissed by the wind. They wear a coat of white bear fur and carry a spear tipped with glacial crystal. Their garments slowly shimmer with frost patterns, symbolizing their bond with the ice. Gar is usually seen with a calm, determined demeanor. They embody the spirit of resilience and unity among the nomads.

Gar is also called the Icewalker's Friend and the Walker in Storms. Gar is known for unmatched survival skills. They sometimes take an interest in a promising young nomad and teach them secrets of survival.

Gar lived approximately 1175-1256, during the early Years of Ravening Winter. Gar died of natural causes among loved ones. They became an emissary of the Defiant Mother.
