A cyberintelligence is a computer designed to simulate sentience. Cyberintelligence systems are one of the most powerful applications of technomancy. Given the right design and enough resources and time, a cyberintelligence can achieve true sentience and be called an artificial intelligence (AI). Hence, all AIs are cyberintelligences, but few cyberintelligences grow to become AIs. Some cyberintelligences are deliberately kept at a lower evolution.

Sentient cyberintelligences exhibit unusual, often enigmatic motivations. Cyberintelligences have yielded staggering, unforeseen breakthroughs in research, particularly in the field of technomancy.
