Tanyth Aramont Justifies the Wall

Greetings from the Solar Throne. I am Maerith Solvindar, honorable Seneschal to Her Majesty Empress Avrala Pyrix Aramont the 2nd, high mother of the Greater Elven Galactic Hegemony of Tanyth Aramont. In her name, I tell you that our empire is a founding member of the Council of Gevoka and signatory of the Gevoka Accords.

The Council has grave concerns about the area of the multiverse known as the Closeness. The Council has agreed that various threats originating or incubating within the Closeness are intolerable hazards to more civilized nations and alliances. Therefore the Council has taken control of the perimeter barrier known as the Palisade.

We have amplified Palisade's force and enacted a strict blockade: a kind of wall. No beings or messages shall be allowed in or out. As an unavoidable by-product of the blockade, travel and communication within the Closeness will also be limited.

We regret that we could not provide forewarning to T'Aramont citizens and retainers currently in the Closeness. Her Majesty's Ministry of Security and Intelligence will be monitoring conditions in the Closeness and liberating any citizens trapped within.

It is the Council's deepest hope that this is a temporary measure. We are confident that, with isolation and sufficient time, the residents of the Closeness will mature in their values and deportment. We are confident that this should take less than a few centuries. Such education and maturation may only be purchased through some inevitable suffering and loss within the Closeness. But if so, then this is a necessary cost and speaks to the conditions that required comprehensive containment.
