Mission Report


Friday, March 12, 2027 ((2023-07-23))
Team: Balto (Cael), Doc (Dae), Key (Mike), Breaker (Wynnri), Pebble (Basil), Skadi (Aslene), Wraith (Mike)

We continued sweeping and clearing the wreckage. We engaged many TIN drones and TIC balls. Breaker noticed that someone or something was helping by jamming the Reavernet signal. This prevented some Reaver enemies from alerting others. In the Swift, Skadi negotiated with a lightning elemental and an air elemental. The air elemental wanted to know why they couldn't leave Sihblos.

Skadi and Doc found a portable high-tech safe room in a central cabin. TIN drones were trying to breach it, and they succeeded at destroying its external transceiver. This allowed the Reavernet foes to coordinate. However, Breaker blew a hole in a wall, destroying one of the drones in the process. On the Grid and in the Swift, we continued destroying drones and balls. Just as we finished defeating them all, Horace Barclay reported that a megafauna may be approaching.

  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): Balto nods. "We'll hold down the fort, bosslady." That seems to be an old fashioned term of respect.
  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): In the Chain, Togo and Balto are the same song in two frequencies: vicious and triumphant, a hunter's howl, the sound ofthe cold windthrough the trees, the dges of both covered in abn echo like whalesong. It is eerie and beautiful and strange, like a night with no moon and the aurora borealis in full glory above.
  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): It's easy for magni to notice that Balto moves like Togo, or maybe its the other way around? They share a frequency that he doesn't see or hear. Balto click-whistles as she fires, and Togo snarls in some sort of agreement.
  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): It's also clear how much of an /apex/ predator ahklut are. Togo still has the lanky limbs and not-entirely-right proportions of a juvenile, and he's doing this kind of damage. He seems to know to go for the head as well.
  • Horace reports seismic reading that a megafauna may be approaching
