Mission Report


Friday, March 12, 2027 ((2023-07-09))
Team: Balto (Cael), Doc (Dae), Key (Dragon), Breaker (Wynnri), Pebble (Basil), Skadi (Aslene), Wraith (Mike)

We landed our thopter near the crashed airship. We tried to gather more intel from a distance, with limited success. We approached on the Grid and in the Swift. Wraith sent a flying drone in and found a TIC ball guarding the hatch to the bridge. The Swift team discovered that the airship had a standard human enchantment on its perimeter: both detection and barrier.

Skadi used her song to let the Swift team move through undetected. Both teams tried to stealth in but were detected. We started fighting two TIC balls and two TIN drones. A TIC ball webbed Wraith but Pebble freed him. Togo the ahklut killed a TIC ball. Meanwhile, a small lightning elemental watched from the Swift.

  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): While Bato spoke to Togo as if a very very intelligent dog, he clearly isn't- when the Ahklut yaaaawns, the sharp teeth of an apex predator briefly show. He seems to be listening to the conversation around him with an intelligence far beyond any dog.

GM: * Breaker makes 2 reverse lightning grenades

  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): When Balto exits the Swift, the first thing she does is greet Togo. There's a small quiet series of click-chirps from both of them.
  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): ...Up close. the furry cloak that Balto wears is clearly the pelt of a much, MUCH bigger Ahklut, and when she and Togo work together, the impression of two is uncanny...
  • Skadi (Reezelyn): -watching the heads up feed from the drone, Reeze nods, impressed, at the maneuver. "Well done."-
  • Pebble (Percy Smith): Percy wears a patchy parka with a big hand drawn logo on the back and a backpack with a basketball sized rock inside. She has her spikes, ice spikes, and a med kit around her belt.
  • Key (Khione): Key wears the standard R3M armor, but with a long navy-black high-collared coat. It's almost a little ridiculous, but she wears it with enough confidence it's more homage than cliche.
  • Barrier is a human enchantment being torn apart by wild magic, while reavers are trying to rebuld the enchantment
  • Breaker hacked into the airships records
  • VIP on board: Gideon Langstaff (he/him) is a human corporate executive for Primex
  • When fully laden, the Anne-Marie can carry 20 cans. It's current load was 7 mixed commercial, 12 confidential Primex, 1 spare parts and supplies, 1 empty berth
  • Anne Marie taken down by an ice storm 11 days ago (probably)
  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): Balto hurriedly adjusts her little badge, and then also makes sure that Togo's is visible as well.
  • Balto (Teagan Cordova): Togo seems somewhat startled to see a direwolf suddenly appear. There's a brief baring of teeth, but when Balto chirp-clicks at him, he huffs and seems to replax.
  • Lightning elemental observes and snacks
  • Skadi says to elemental, "I request parlay"
