RMJ 1-10: Inn Training Op and Unbending Pillar

Team: Aoibhe (absent), Key (Dragon), Magni (Wynnri), Pebble (Basil), Reezelyn (Aslene), Wraith (Mike)

We ran a training op. We reconned a rustic inn where hostiles were holding hostages. We used the Swift for scouting and surprise, and Key used her Wild Shape to distract. We defeated the hostiles and freed the hostages. Next, we traveled to the cave of the dead elder dire bear. His name was Unbending Pillar. Reeze and Aoibhe carefully harvested many useful mats. Pebble and Wraith unlocked a memory bead of a slave woman killed before the freeze. Amidst the bone piles, Key found magical bracers.

• Memory Bead: The sun is high, and the air is hot and still. A woman frantically runs down a dry creek bed at the bottom of a canyon. She has long, black hair in a messy ponytail, and sunburnt skin. She wears a linen shirt and trousers. A heavy iron collar rubs at her neck. Her bare feet are calloused and scratched. All around her, the thick green forest goes quiet and still. Behind her comes the high-pitched whine of a flying machine. Blood sprays out from her chest on the rocks ahead. Only then does she feel the pain of the bolt that hit her from behind. She stumbles and falls.
• Key (Khione): "Much has died here."
• Harvested: Giant pelt (ventral), large pelt (dorsal), many bear claws, two extra large bear saber teeth, lots of bear teeth, some bear organs
• Cause of death unknown. Not violence. Old age?
• Reeze scratches the runes for Unbending Pillar in the wall of his den
