Initial Intel from the Op

  • Max: For a start, Caterina had most of the Bloodstone Prophecy we have, plus Stanza 12, which is new to us. https://wiki.edgewar.com/index.php?title=Bloodstone_Prophecy
  • Max: Thanks, Shiro, for the extra intel on Fated spelljamming. I've factored that into this next summary…. The Adaption Group is relying partly on the Fated for portals and spelljamming, and more on the League of the Rusted Crown for spelljamming. Once the Ms. Mona made a successful Hornwood translation to Faerûn and back (Jan 5), Caterina split her focus away from R&D on mechadead. Her agents have been outbidding others on securing spelljammer ships, captains, and crews. Caterina seems especially interested in blockade runners: fast, agile ships that can evade inspection or capture. Many people are talking about how the Harmonium is securing Sigil Space around the station. The Harmonium has never been able to properly police the portals, but all ships have to transit Sigil Space to arrive or leave. Caterina seems interested in eluding the Harmonium here, and perhaps other authorities elsewhere.
  • Max: It's also worth mentioning that a blockade runner would make a good shadow for following and monitoring the Black Pyramid, surreptitiously.
  • Max: Incidentally, recall that I've been debriefing Ordin Zarn for some time now, as his memory heals. Ordin's parents are Tundin Zarn and Bree Ambersheaf. Bree is (or was?) captain of the Dawnchaser, a spelljammer ship famous for running blockades. We know that the Dawnchaser helped ferry the Circus Divergia in the past.
  • Max: I'm going to dig into the whiteboards from the Adaption Group war room, and factor those into what we're piecing together about the Top 10 problem. More soon.
  • Max: I haven't finished my analysis for the Top 10 problem. I'm compiling data from the Adaption Group war room and from our allies
  • As a starting place, the Fated and Mercykillers have a mutual support pact. Both are well-positioned to survive the Top 10. The Fated are moving fast and smart to ensure they remain essential in Infotech on Sigil Station. The Mercykillers are not quite as fast or smart, but they're working via a variety of channels to remain essential in Corrections on Sigil Station.
  • Three factions are allied together, partly in openly supporting the Unbroken Tide: the Harmonium, the Fraternity of Order, and the Society of Sensation. Notably, both the Harmonium and the Fraternity of Order have previously suggested that they could handle corrections. That's a direct threat to the Mercykillers.
  • The Adaption Group demonstrates a strong interest in particular Ravnica guilds, and they seem to be considering possible strong alliances or even mergers for the Fated and other Sigil factions.
  • The League of the Rusted Crown had a close deal with Primex for at least two years, using Primex as their infection vector of adintech (to borrow Proud's phrase)

  • Grant of Farwatch Omega is in the delegation to Ravnica

  • The team extensively discusses whether Raptor Blue should get involved in the Top 10 compression of Sigil factions.
  • Lyndi has a page of Tundinzarn with Bree trapped inside
  • Myriad follows the conversation with a neutral expression. Pretty much the static expression they always have
  • Lyndi posits a merger of the Mercykillers and Bleak Cabal
  • Haelra is a sworn factioneer of the Fraternity of Order, in her profession as a forensic necromancer
  • Max: We don't have good intel on the Fated top leadership. We do know that they evidently cheerfully accepted Caterina, gave her a title (Duchess), a building, and a staff, in exchange for the money, expertise, and tech she brought to Sigil.
  • Max: The Lady of Pain's desires are often inscrutable. But the Top 10 is, at the very least, a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's likely to happen because the factions fear it.

Update on Teens

  • Max: Update on the Bella Santiana teens
    • Raph Decosta: Four Dragon Paths; training is going well
      • Max gets approval to connect Daria Blake with Raph
    • Colby Diseth: Talarin Institute; shows some aptitude for paladin training; made the lacrosse team; he's starting in Saturday's game
      • Lyndi encourages everyone to send info on their deities
      • This is done
    • Lisette Carrell: Talarin Institute; shows some aptitude for ops management, like me; one of my cousins is an instructor on that career path; asked her to look for Lisette.
  • Aunne notices: Jane is wearing a spectral mask around her eyes, like an older woman's face
  • Jane gives dragonteeth necklaces to Max, to give to the Bella Santiana teens

The Mission Ahead

  • Myriad promises to keep the team's secrets, not interfere with the op, and share relevant info
  • Myriad explains that the Assembler Rebellion has chosen to base part of their core nature on the Fey. This includes not lying, honoring promises, and honoring guest-right.

  • Mission Brief RB 6-8
  • Multiverse Omni Map
  • Prime Material Plane
    • Daysahren
    • Amonkhet
    • Eberron
    • Ravnica

  • Circus Divergia rumored to be in Ravnica space, may perform at the end of the diplomatic visit
  • We've been negotiating for spelljammer charts
  • Have the Hornwood Equation, can solve for Hornwood Solutions

  • Lyndi recalls the deal with Nasha, to access the hidden Death Dragon R&D station and take one thing each
  • Myriad gives a bit of themself to travel with Sylvena
  • Jane talks some to Nasha about Dolmodeen

Dwight Mackey

  • Dwight contacts the team
  • Last communication: Nov 14
  • Negotiated for Raptor Blue to visit the NeoCyclic facility
  • Also arranged care for Lyndi's cousin

  • Mackey admires SpiritNet
  • My people were working on something similar
  • We've been cleaning house
  • May have human assets in the Magitec Expanse
  • Would pay well for their extraction, and by pay I'm open to a variety of compensation, including favors promised

  • Lyndi says that R3M rescues people, period. No need for favors
  • However, if R3M gets harmed, then compensation is appropriate

  • Lyndi 4.0: He will not allow himself to owe us anything - he will repay us in some way.
  • Lyndi warns Dwight of the insectoid bargain
