RB 5-3: Conversing with Naluni & Aiding Cyrbin

Mission Report

Raptor Blue continues investigating Grazal's Metals. Fris and Sylvi steal a transaction log. Kromrak consents to a Zone of Truth and is questioned by Naluni. Naluni invites Kromrak and his leader to a private conversation. She proposes a deal: aid in finding Proud, in exchange for transporting her sister and assistant to the Beastlands. The sister, Nasha Pogray, was an apprentice of Mr. Smith. Nasha's assistant is Daniel. Lyndi agrees. The heroes travel to the Temple District and help Cyrbin's soul pass on.

In Grazal's Metals

• The heroes continue investigating Grazal's
• Fris distracts the drow while Sylvi steals their transaction log
• Kromrak consents to a Zone of Truth, Naluni questions him
• Lyndi helps sell Fris' unruly horse act
• Haelra finds a scrap of unmelted metal
• DM: > H senses that the teardrop of metal came from an aarakocra shield
• Jane senses that most of the spiders in Grazal's are charmed by minor demons in spider form
• Jane senses that she has a message
• Jane makes it smelly

• Phobos playfully explores, finds the bunkroom and kitchen
• Phobos gets zapped by a doorknob
• Shiro finds a secret door
• Fris and Sylvi try to find the outer side of the secret door but it's well-hidden
• A drow warrior prepares to fight Phobos
• Naluni asks Kromrak to speak with him and his team's leader
• Naluine leads Lyndi and Kromrak to her sanctum
• Naluni stops the possible fight with Phobos: "Leave off, Tymar. We're coming to an agreement."
• > Log book has record of sales with vague/encrypted customer descriptions

Making a Deal with Naluni

• Naluni explains
  • Duchess Berrett was not Mr. Smith's only apprentice
  • We have given sanctuary to my sister, Nasha Pogray, and her assistant, Daniel
• House Pogray wants Duchess Berrett eliminated
• Propose an alliance
• Tell you where to find your captured friend, in exchange for safe transport of Nasha to the Beastlands; we have a Hornwood vertex
• Duchess Berrett controls the Brotherhood fleet
• Nasha would not have chosen to work for Mr. Smith
• Lyndi makes a tentative agreement
• DM: > Lyndi and Sylvi get a primer for learning drowish through stories of Lolth
• DM: > Tymar and the mage are brothers, and study other cultures
• DM: > Jane gives the mage Hobbit and LotR
• DM: > Jane gives him a Dol'modeen pamphlet, too
• The last room is the Sales Room & Storage

• The drow successfully place tiny spider tracking tags on the heroes, but Haelra, Phobos and Jane find them
• The heroes remove the tags
• Lyndi puts tags on random pedestrians
• A little air spirit presents scroll to Jane: You contracted with one of my clients. Please visit me ASAP. -Victor Bronzeborn, at Victor's Secret, Market Ward, SW of the Great Bazaar
• DM: > Jane gives the lil whirlwind the drow tag spider
• DM: > Haelra and Lyndi disconnect the primer from Lolth's web, for 24 hours (takes one 1st level slot)

Visiting Moradin's Temple

• Team travels to Lady's Ward: Temple District
• Heroes see the many amazing temple
• Heroes find the Temple of Moradin, just as the last ceremony has ended
• DM: > Jane brings Cyrbin to Moradin's temple for him to pass on
• They're helped by a friendly priest
• Jane dips the Heart of the Depths into a trough-like font of holy water
• Cyrbin passes on
