After Mackey

• Holloway and troopers collected by Primex forces; Cyrus will be contacted when they're ready for him to observe
• Colby, Lisette: to Talarin Institute, Vancouver; will finish their high school education and transition into formal NGO Bloc training; they'll be monitored for any Change or Unbound awakening, as well as any further predilection for contact with demons or devils; in the future, they may intern with R3M
• Raph: to Temple of the Four Dragon Paths, in Chicago; Temple includes a private high school; will finish his high school education; will be a candidate for initiation into the path of the Ryu; will be given an opportunity to prove himself worthy of a new patron, the Dragon; will be monitored for any contact with demons or devils; Temple will require Raph to practice hermitage/asceticism for 30 days, then he can have contact with Quill (and anyone else)

• Nails: Thank you for your service to R3M. Today is Nov 15. Formed team on Oct 22 in rapid response to hard evidence of devil and demon activity in Chicago. The team excelled over the past few weeks.
• I formed this team in haste, with rapid vetting and short-term contracts.
• I've been authorized to transition RaPT3R Blue to permanent status, complete with long-term contracts.
• R3M takes our mission very seriously
• As a permanent team, much greater resources and support (e.g., more training while Palisade is up, ethereal weapons storage, significant renovations on the Fort). For example, access to the R3M Trooper Standard Kit
• Before make that investment, need to know you're committed
• That means further vetting and testing, as well as individual interviews with me, with Lyndi sitting in
• Need to sign long-term contracts, becoming full employees of R3M
• Essentially, transition from a group of strangers who were conveniently in or near Chicago, into a unified team with the internal trust and training to investigate and fight with extraordinary unity
• Need to pledge to adhere to R3M Rights and Responsibilities
• Those of you with affiliations or allegiances elsewhere can maintain them, but you must pledge that should a conflict of interest ever arise, you promptly notify Lyndi. At such time, Lyndi may recommend that you leave the team, or bench you or even dismiss you herself.
• I'll follow up to schedule the individual interviews. But at this time, if there are any questions or matters I can address now, please share them.

Training Exercise

• Max prepares Mosaic boxes and a Draco sim
• Max and Draco built a training scenario based on orders from Cyrus and records from a previous R3M mission
• Urban setting; coordinated adversaries
• R3M team responding to smuggling of a paranormal object
• Buyer has been intercepted and captured
• Seller is on site, awaiting arrival of buyer ("Littlejohn", a demon cultist from Europe)
• Objectives

  • [] Obtain the paranormal object (a black silk bag the size of a lunch sack)
  • [] Capture or kill any opponents
  • [] Adhere to R3M Rights and Responsibilities, including Protect civilians and Minimize disclosure of the existence of the paranormal
• Max, Draco, and Lyndi narrow down the identity of the seller to a local gang called the Kennedy Koyotes.
• Draco: Low-level rackets: smuggling, mugging, fencing stolen goods.
• Max: The Koyotes are stepping up their game, by committing murder to obtain the object, and then trying to sell it on the Edge black market.
• Bron does an aerial sweep
• Weather is overcast and drizzly
• Team plans
• Cyrus is disguised as the buyer, Lyndi and Quill disguised as bodyguards
• Ed and Phobos stealth from the north; Jane and Ryu from the south
• Ryu silently takes down south overwatch; Ed and Phobos don't quite take down north overwatch
• Combat
• Quill maintains ruse of being buyer plus bodyguards, giving that trio advantage on attacking the gang members
• Outcome
  • Object obtained
  • 5 subjects incapacitated with less lethal force
  • 2 subjects killed
  • Max and Draco reported that they could disrupt the gang's cell communication but weren't ordered to do so
