The Battle Continues

• Battle continues
• Zora uses Earthen Grasp to bash up door to study
  • Study is decorated in turn-of-the-century style (in contrast to the mansion)
  • Rosena Guerrier is hiding in the study
• Phobos also bashes the door, making a wider access
• Lyndi and Teacup move into the study
• Lyndi uses Grasping Vine on Rosena
• Sielic and Cadeos
  • Arrived with the team
  • They first circled around the perimeter to sabotage a network substation to limit the security response, if the team trips the alarm
  • They've now caught up
• Spike Growth tears apart zombies as they shamble forward
• Rosena tries to summon fel power but Zora casts Counterspell
• Ed and Draco take control of the mansion security
• Cyrus disarms Rosena, starting with her revolver, and restrains her
• Zora uses Earthen Grasp on the door to the lab: also older decorations, well-used, alchemy and chemistry, some signs of arcane research
• Ed kills cameras and erases feeds
• Draco steals lots of data
• Some zombies are raised from members of other gangs than Black Mambas

Aftermath

• Lyndi senses deadly poisons and alien diseases (poxes) in the lab (understood via Safire), searches and photographs the lab
• Teacup ruins forehead runes on downed zombies and ghouls, takes photos of faces, and searches bodies
• Draco works on causing the refrigerant in the wet room to explode, and thus freeze the zombies inside
• Ed gets the library open using the security system
• Ed finally recognizes the room he's in: it's where he met and was bound to Mr. Smith
• The brands on the zombies' and ghouls' foreheads: a rune built on the sign of Smith
• Stone pedestal with metal seal on top; in the center, a small pentagon depression
• One of the zombies was an undercover cop, Jumana Owens. (Teacup were briefed on Chicago PD assets like her.)
• Zora finds a Chest of Holding; she starts shoving in everything of value in the library and lab, and recruits others to help
  • Zoraida de la Guerrande: "Everything that is not nailed down, put it in."
  • Zoraida de la Guerrande: She's gonna also transmute part of the floor into a pebble and taking that.
• Jane realizes she has a coin that matches the depression
• Zora senses magic that was supposed to keep the coin away from the pedestal
• Rosena spills to Cyrus; dwarves from the Outer Planes were brought here to build foundation, superstructure, and roof, to prevent magical probing and detection in Elysium
• Most of the Raptors choose to be in the room when the coin is used, and are transported to the Vault of the Box
• Draco: Uncle Ed, there are files here… Blackmail files. Extortion material. On many, many powerful people.

Vault of the Box

• A room In the deep Astral Plane. Completely cut off from all outside connections, including divine and druidic
• Statues of captains and lieutenants who have fallen in service to their master.
• Floor decorated extensively with tiles touting victories and accomplishments of the master across the multiverse
• Flesh golem holding a sealed metal box
• Zora recognizes the box as a phylactery of a powerful lich
• Ordin Zarn's ghost stands beside the box, unable to speak
• The heroes can hear "Hymn 101"
• Flesh golem kneels and offers the box
• After some debate, there's an effort for multiple Raptors to accept the box, but the golem refuses
• Ordin uses his hands to indicate that only one person can accept
• Lyndi trades her right arm for the box, bloodlessly
• The golem begins merging Lyndi's arm with his flesh
• The Raptors sense someone or something coming, and return to Elysium
• The Raptors leave with Rosena, the Trunk, and the body of one zombie
