Adinzar is a massive adintech artifact of immense power.

Illithid geniuses designed Adinzar at least several hundred years ago but they never built it. Adinzar was built on Amonkhet, under the secret guidance of Nicol Bolas. Bolas envisioned Adinzar as another tool in his grand plan for divine ascendance. Construction began January 1, 2000 and ended in early December 2004. Bolas activated Adinzar on December 19. Almost immediately, Adinzar broke free of Bolas' control and consumed him.

Adinzar combines bloodstone and living book tech. It's a self-powered, self-directed, planes-traveling library. It's capable of consuming vast amounts of matter, energy, and spirit. It can capture and preserve whole cities and their residents, as it did with Naktamun on Amonkhet.

It has many names: the Black Pyramid, The Endless Maze, the Relentless Understanding, and the God Devourer.
