Catch Up From Downtime
- Lyndi finishes meeting with Barons Rixa and Ordric, and Farwatch Captain Lashell
- Zora finished interviewing the prostitutes Janee and Cai
- Ed helped treat the injured tabaxi woman
- Jane escorted Deanira to the hospital, then connected with Riggs and Vince coming up from the undercity
- Ryu oversaw the TAG team analyzing the evidence on the 10th floor

- Janee Fields wishes to go free; she plans to take a vacation, and then maybe try escorting
- Cai Wu is a minor and eventually needs to be returned to her parents in Milwaukee
- Jamal Sutton is a minor and either needs to be returned to his guardian, Ronna Sutton, or turned over to the Chicago PD
- Deanira Taylor will survive but the doctors are concerned about possible long-term nerve damage or even paralysis. Her son Levell needs a psych assessment and probably counseling. His close interaction with the reaver may have exposed him to the Edge.
- Max: > Max will arrange for Lyndi to get Janee's statement for civilian justice and CRA follow-up, ideally in exchange for immunity
- Max: > Zora can help Happy Trees take care of Janee
- DM: > Zora shares that Janee has access to a Google Doc blacklist of unwelcome clients
- Max: I'll work with Zora to get legal counsel for Janee and Cai, for when they give statements to Lyndi and make deals
- Max: Yesenia Moralles, Detective, Chicago PD, Special Threats, is taking the lead on the case. She's Unbound, Fighter, Level 3 or 4.

- Tabaxi's Story
- Phoebe Wyrick is a beautiful, dark-skinned elven woman. She looks kind and intelligent. She is wearing a pale blue Talarin Medical Division lab coat over a modest navy blouse and a dark gray, medium-length skirt.
- Dr. Wyrick looks tired
- Alpine Autumn Sky
- Seer, member of the Unbroken Tide, explain Tide
- Titan Breakers rescued her from League slaving house
- Autumn Sky explained that she'd let herself be captured to meet the Titan Breakers. She urged the Breakers to come with her to the Axis of Elusive Truths, a temple in Sigil dedicated to all Powers who deal in prophecy and divination. Another seer was waiting to meet them, to explain the larger struggle they were now part of.
- The Titan Breakers were ambushed in an alley by an unknown force. The druid Bryn was killed, and the rest are presumed captured
- One of the attackers: a human male rogue with a mace and dagger, dagger caused acute pain, evidently caused the druid to experience Final Death
- That was Oct 21
- Mercenaries were working the League
- The League commander, a halfling warlock named Straxim Coldweal, was incensed by her deception
- Told her he'd have her sent to a special hell
- Injected her with something he called Wasteland
- In and out of consciousness, taken through at least two portals, out of Sigil, evidently to Earth

- Beaten, raped repeatedly
- Numerous cuts, bruises, and broken bones
- Healed, but only just barely

- Up to 17 now missing
- Continue to extrapolate someone is targeting diviners or potential diviners
- Cloaker
- A cloaker is a Reaver-possessed human. The Reaver enhances the host's abilities considerably, including strength, constitution, perception, and especially dexterity and speed. Initially, the signs of possession are subtle. Over time, the cloaker changes form to become a hybrid human-insectoid abomination. ((Cloakers are inspired by the Judas breed from the excellent movie Mimic.))
- Finding the reaver
- Brother Iron is a white human male. He's a tall, older man with deep smile lines. His eyes have a mix of playful kindness and worldly weariness. He's wearing a charcoal suit, gray scarf, and black leather loafers ((played by Ian McKellen))
- Was significantly wounded by Sergeant Riggs and Baron Suganda, but has significant regenerative abilities, and possibly healing magic
- Alpine Autumn Sky stumbles in, delivers part of the prophecy (verse 2)

- Farwatch, Talarin, Night Market, and One Terra all sweeping for a reaver presence
- Very hard to find; able to hide their presence among the native insects of an area; Chicago has a great many cockroaches, centipedes, beetles, and so forth

- Some of our allies and adversaries believe that I might be a Herald of the Wyrm Princes of the Celestial Circle
- I wanted to better understand what that would mean
- I've been researching the Wyrm Princes
- With Nails' permission, I also talked with Brother Iron
- According to legend, Herald is like an advanced scout, sent to find evil chromatic dragons and their minions, and then calls the Circle to a world
- Jane's soul shadow is Uhoshi Nevro, a female tiefling druid
- Member of an order called the Silver Comets, fought evil
- It's possible that she fought alongside one or more Wyrm Princes at some point
- That may be how the Wyrm Princes learned of Uhoshi's soul and monitored it
- Iron: Didn't know much about the Circle, but thought we could ask Bron
- Bron
- Herald isn't the precise word; in Draconic and Celestial, the term is more like "tip of the spear", "beachhead", or "force recon"
- A Herald prepares for the arrival of the Wyrm Princes; this can include recruiting and preparing bannermen, charioteers, spear carriers, and armorers

- "Preparing" isn't the precise word either; preparations can include testing, training, and altering the chosen, to make them optimally ready to face the foul generals and soldiers of the vile Tiamat

- If there is a dragon coming, and other dragons to fight it, that's… pretty damn big

- Marylyn Avant is a white, British human female. She between 30 and 50, and seems like a preoccupied academic. She's wearing a black cardigan over a red dress with a long skirt. She has an electronic ID badge.

- Dr. Zhao leads the meeting
- Cole Vanlaere was one of my mentees; disappointed in his choices
- Mr. Mackey informed me you won't probe R&D alternatives to the metabiotic crystals as Change catalysts
- I can report that Vanlaere was looking for a shortcut, and the crystals seemed the answer
- But that came at the cost of the suffering and death of sentient beings
- We're exploring a different avenue for understanding and manipulating life energy: plants
- Some probing of the NeoCyclic construction
- Jane tries to use Locate Object to portal, gets hit by lightning damage, knocked out
