RB 3-8: Winning, Bargaining, & Feasting

Battle Continued

• Zombies are prototype iron-sewn mechadead
• DM: > Cadeos grapples and throws the brute over the railing
• Lyndi uses Turn Undead again
• As the mechadead fall, Dol'modeen's presence returns to the temple
• Proud Flame flicks his blade, sending ichor spattering across the stones. Shrugs. Puts it away.
• Proud Flame sighs when he realizes /that/ got on his new shoes too. "DAMNIT."
• The mechadead corpses hatch clockwork infectors
  • DM: > Necrotic clockwork beetles emerge from the destroyed lizardfolk corpses
  • DM: > Jane using Burning Hands, and Cadeos uses his Breath Weapon, to eliminate most of the beetles
  • Cadeos: walks calmly to Jane's side and studies the bugs a moment before standing firmly, facing them, feet shoulderwith apart, His jaw opens suddenly, black sizzling liquid going all over the stones and bugs-mainly stone-and closes his jaw, stepping away calmly.
  • DM: > Lyndi uses Dispel Magic to neutralize a Clockwork Infector
  • DM: > Jane takes the Infector
• After all the mechadead are defeated Dol'modeen directs the heroes to seek higher ground
• Successive waves of purple-black water cleanse the temple, including removing all the bodies and polishing the engravings

After the Battle

• Proud finds a secret compartment, with a robe with squids and tentaclies embroidery, a handwritten journal in Draconic, and several religious implements with Dol'modeen style/flavor
• The journal contains details on the sacred ceremonies of Dol'modeen
• Jane Irwin: Jane will tend to Phobos' wounds, using her healer's kit.
• Lyndi 3.0: Lyndi is quiet as Jane tends to Phobos' wounds, her fingers combing through the thick midnight colored fur. "Good Direwolf. You held them, so we could pick them off." She says softly, lips near his ear.
• Lyndi finds a lizardfolk fingerbone
• Bargaining with Dol'modeen
  • Three drops of Proud's blood, curse lifted from jumpcore
  • Dol'modeen identifies the Choker of the Squid as a token of allegiance to an archduke of Hell
  • Dol'modeen asks the Raptors to notify the nearby lizardfolk that the temple has been cleansed
  • Jane steps up to carry Dol'modeen's icon
• Jane given Stone of Dol'modeen, Heart of the Depths
  • Size of a human hand
  • Deep purple stone (almost black); cracked; repaired with gold in a style like kintsugi
  • Destroy… three score and two… more... undead
• Dol'modeen explains that fingerbone is from a dead follower of a merfolk man, and when used correctly, makes the user immobile
• Jane communes with the aquatic mammals
  • Who were attracted by the cleansing waves
  • Who are excited that the temple will once more seed bodies into the bay and nurture the ecosystem

  • Transformed into a larger, sturdier VTOL gunship
  • Got in touch with his dragon soul
  • "Dragon souls live with mortals, to learn more about the multiverse and what they fight for"
  • Nakagro the Trampler: a heavy male copper dragon; famous for using earth magic to increase his mass and crush things
  • Cockpit now has seats for pilot, co-pilot, gunner, and electronic warfare specialist

Visiting the Village

• Team flies to the village
• Bron lands near road to the northwest
• Large treated-wood sign
  • Draconic: Angry Green Water Rolling Rocks
  • Common: Green Rock
• Guards: Auchatzik and my sister Kruh
• Headmistress Qusk
• Male Priest Uxlogut
• Proud gives Uxlogut the religious robes, journal, and implements
• Feast in the town hall
• Proud Flame dances, once the feast devolves into it, merrily enjoying himself until Lyndi and Cyrus drag him off.
• Each hero receives a necklace of shells that identifies you as a friend to the village of Angry Green Water Rolling Rocks
• Lyndi 3.0: Lyndi dances with Proud, happily, and with a sunlight like joy. She laughs often, and doesn't eat any of the meat, but partakes heartily of all vegetarian type things. She also finds a child who is doing art, and sits with the child for a bit, doing it too.
• Haelra Vayn: Haelra looks for a member of the unbroken tide to send a letter to Nari and Tinga
• Haelra Vayn: Haelra does a mental happy dance

Return to Fort

• Back through the jumpgate
• Bron too heavy for the roof
• Jane makes a saltwater fountain on the roof, in honor of Dol'modeen
