Mission Report

Thursday, March 11, 2027 ((2026-06-13)) Operatives: Mellowyn, DK, Stream, Alara, Wir, Rabbit

Rabbit was one of the rebel LRC. Without warning, she awoke as Unbound, surging with primal and temporal energy. The Serenity Cove operatives helped Rabbit start learning what it means to be Unbound. They got several signs that Rabbit was trustworthy. The team rendezvoused with the chase team to transfer the other rebel LRC prisoners. They also made field modifications to their weapons and built a thumper-dazzler to attract zombies. The operatives took the Freddy D back to the wreck of Alpha Module. Stream used a drone to place the thumper-dazzler but the drone scraped a loose cable, attracting attention. A gargantuan undead snake emerged from the darkness: Spite, a node of the Shadow Curse. In the cold darkness, the operatives ambushed Spite and a battle began.

"Doorkicker" Njiallsen: DK will start prepping the Shield for exiting Freddy D Mellowyn: -to just Rabbit via chain- This doesn't change anything for your people - all that has been agreed on is agreed on, and we intend to keep everyone as safe and alive as possible. Everyone will be evaluated on an individual basis. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): R: (Relief, worry, acceptance, betterthanihadehopedfortobehonest) Understood. Mellowyn: -to Rabbit still- Your just up first, apparently. We welcome you, with the respectable wariness your skills have earned. If you have our back, we will have yours. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): R: Haven't proved shit yet, ma'am. But I will. "Doorkicker" Njiallsen: initiate a full scan of Rabbit's power armor Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit does a thorough, automatic, ease-of-long-practice type of check for her suit and systems. She puts up the hood oner her helm and buckles it in place, flexes her fingers. The "ears" of her suit are packed with sensors, like modified antenna; the furry "feet" seem to grip very well. on the slick floor. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit moves with the controlled careful grace of someone who was once probably all elbows and knees awkwardness but has worked to control them.

  • Rendezvous with chase team: exchange PCs, offload rebel LRC

Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit seems to note the treatment of the other prisoners with a slight relaxing of her shoulders. In the chain, she is all focused professionalism, stretched over several other emotions To Be Dealt With Later. Apparently she wasn't kidding about compartmentalizing.

  • The rare ores should be in Aerospace Operations and Armory.

Rabbit (Jack Harrison): AS Mellowyn starts talking about the Planters, Rabbit's mind takes on a glass wall like quality: cool, contained, controlled. "Doorkicker" Njiallsen: Thumpers to draw the worms Rabbit (Jack Harrison): There is a quietn nsense of watching Mellowyn anhd the team, how they interact, what they value. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit seems a little confused by that; the answeer was the mission, of course. There was no choice. She staysn quiet, however, watching the discussion, intruiged that it is the discussion. Alara: [Alara notices the confusion and marks it] Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit rubs her hand, absently flexing it. She listens still. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit does watch Stream work with interest. Always a good idea to have a competent quartermaster. Thank fuck. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): "...Your op has fun toys." Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit seems respectfully wary of the gloamshrikes, but also kind of intruiged. They're kinda cool. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit... ripples, and her armor takes on a chameleon-like effect, the distorted invisibility ampolified by dark water. Mellowyn: Mellowyn's golden powersuit reacts at almost the same time, shifting to match Rabbits in an eerie symmetry. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit tilts her head just a little. They're so.... polite here. If you weren't ready the feeling was usually "tough shit, get there fast". Not "we will wait for you". Rabbit (Jack Harrison): ...Through the Chain, an iron determination seeps from Rabbit, glass wall or no. Her hands settle on her weapons. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): Rabbit twitches in surprise. In the Chain: The ship is alive??? Rabbit (Jack Harrison): For a moment, Rabbit briefly, very briefly, wishes for a tank. Then she looks at Doorkicker. Well. Close enough. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): The hands grip her swords. In the Chain, the thought flickers across, like she thinks of it as mental comms: Nothing like field testing a new weapon, I suppose. Time to earn my keep. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): There is the sense of a sharp mental grin from Rabbit, a willingness to rungofightkill. Stream: Rungo Fightkill, an orc librarian. Rabbit (Jack Harrison): There is something of an answering rise in Rabbit: she has always enjoyed movement and using her body, and she feels so damn good right now, riding a the leftovers of a divine high.
