Ektalya

Divinity

Ektalya is a god of sky and storm. She is sometimes called the Painter of Wild Skies, and the Muse of Stormborn Souls. She is a Face of the Traveler and married to Ahvilora.

Appearance

Ektalya is as a tall woman of stark beauty. Her flesh is brown and semi-translucent and filled with swirling storm clouds and lightning. Her black hair is short and spiky, with sparks of lightning flickering through it. Her eyes glow with the deep blue of a coming storm. Ektalya wears a robe of clouds and mist, and she carries a javelin of green metal.

Portfolio

Ektalya is revered as a face of the Traveler: the boundless sky, the breath between destinations, and the beauty of chaos. She glorifies movement without control, change without warning, and art made in flight.

• Domain: All things sky and storm, including lightning, thunder, and hurricanes, as well as dazzling sunsets and twinkling canopies of stars above racing clouds.
• Symbol: A broken circle surrounding a storm cloud. From the bottom of the storm cloud, a lightning bolt strikes a tree. Above the storm cloud, there is the silhouette of a bird. The break in the circle represents freedom. The tree represents her playful sparring with her wife, Ahvilora.

Beliefs and Worship

• Fierce Courage: Ektalya teaches audacity and daring. She coaxes others to take risks, and she rewards courage with luck.
• Ride the Ebb and Flow: Storms build, crash, and fade. When possible, seize opportunities. But when the storm is inevitable, ride it out.

Rites and Celebrations: Worship includes singing and acrobatics on high cliffs, as well as riding hang gliders and ziplines. Naked is better.

Ektalya's presence is felt most strongly during storms and after them, and under rainbows.
