RMJ 2-1: Meeting Balto and Finding the Anne-Marie
Mission Report
Friday, March 12, 2027 ((2023-06-18))
Team: Balto (Cael), Doc (Dae), Key (Dragon), Breaker (Wynnri), Pebble (Basil), Skadi (Aslene), Wraith (Mike)
We met Balto, a new Marshals candidate with a juvenile ahklut companion. We loaded extra gear and supplies on to the Earthsea, plus our no-can thopter. Then we headed southwest, with Horace Barclay at the helm. As we got closer, we got clearer reception on the automated distress signal. It's the Anne-Marie, a large commercial airship chartered out of New Liberty. Based on the signal, the ship crashed 11 days ago, likely during a magical ice storm.
We flew over the crash site. The Anne-Marie still has some power. Near the crash site, we found the lower half of a TIN drone. A nearby memory bead showed the drone killing a Primex trooper. Forensic evidence suggests that the drone walked away from the crash, then fought a meg(afauna) and lost. We approached the crash site.

- Balto (Teagan Cordova): Teagan seems /just/ a bit awkward, but that can be attributed to the newness of a team. She is never without her Ahklut; he is, perhaps surprisingly, decently behaved, for over a hundred pounds of juvenile apex predator. Teagan uses a combination of vocal cues, mostly clicks, whistles, and other odd noises, to give commands or communicate.

- Balto (Teagan Cordova): Balto settles into her room. She apparently met up with the walker earlier via sled; she's brought her own, a lightweight wooden thing, retrofitted to fit Togo.

- Balto (Teagan Cordova): Balto takes her gear as a matter of course; this includes a long functional spear and a shotgun. Togo has a leather harness he wears, and he yaaaawns and click-whistle-growls, showng white, long carnivore teeth.
- Memory Bead: An orc and a TIN drone are struggling for control of an assault rifle. The orc is a strong, tough soldier with a feminine face. She is wearing light military armor with a Primex logo. Her helmet is missing and her armor is streaked with burns and soot. The drone is a black metal killing machine. The orc brings up her sidearm and fires repeatedly into the drone's reinforced torso. The drone lets go of the rifle. It grabs the orc's head with both hands and slowly crushes her skull.
