OOC
You get two d20s to roll each week. You can spend one or both on projects.
You always get two d20s each week. You can bank them if you don't have a wheel in mind.
Progress
Your progress depends on your roll:
- n1: No progress
- Failure: 1 tick
- Success: 2 ticks
- n20: 3 ticks
After rolling a Weekly d20, you can spend 1 SP to use the Reroll Ability Check gambit.
Possible Projects
Some possible projects include:
- Contacts: Develop connections with beings and/or factions outside the team.
- Crafting: Make stuff. The stuff can be mundane and/or magical. This project can include crafting a variation of a spell. Invention and prototyping may first require Research.
- Help: Spend a Weekly d20 to give another PC advantage on their project.
- R&D (Research & Development): Learn more about something (e.g., person, place, object, phenomenon). This project may include scholarly research, lab work, and/or fieldwork.
- Resources: Accumulate money, weapons, armor, gear, real estate, vehicles, etc.
- Spiritual: Deepen your connection to the subtleties of the multiverse, based on your paradigm. This project may include participating in religious services, doing charity/volunteer work, prayer, meditation, etc.
- Synergy: Practice working together with at least one other being (PC or NPC). If that being is a PC, they must also spend a Weekly d20.
- Training: Maintain current abilities and/or develop new ones.
I track progress on your projects using wheels. I set the length of a wheel and you can see it. See: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nB0Uhkubnz7XvOdXSM6evrY7Hzzpd02G3IB7hL71cxk/edit?usp=sharing
A wheel can't unlock a class feature early. However, a wheel can increase a score. The standard increase is 24 steps to add +1 to a skill.
Mechanical Progress
Some projects can have mechanical effects for your PC. Here are some examples.
| Wheel | Skill | Target | Steps | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Skill, Improve by +1 | [Skill] | 15 | 12 | You must already be proficient. For a particular skill, you can start a maximum total of 1 wheels before Level 9, and a maximum total of 2 wheels before Level 17. |
| Feat, New | Unbound | 18 | 36 | You can start a maximum total of 1 wheels before Level 9, and a maximum total of 2 wheels before Level 17. |
| Spell, Original | Arcana, Nature, or Religion | 15 | 12 | Target and Steps are the same for any spell level |
