Rixa Galdan briefed the team on the politics of the DC Edge. Following the Battle of Gevoka, the Council of Gevoka was founded. Its main purpose is negotiating a path to opening Earth to more visitors and commerce. The first phase is establishing a secret, official point of entry (POE) to the DMV. The Embassy of Japan is a leading contender. Talarin doesn't want Farwatch or Primex to win the POE. Rixa negotiated with you to keep Talarin informed of intel you find about the negotiations, and to help Talarin tilt them towards Japan. Rixa gave you contact information for Marcos Martí, who can help if you're being targeted by a city spirit. Talarin engineers helped improve your paranormal disguises. You traveled south towards the R3M DC office. You noticed you were followed by a spirit-driven drone. Whisper intimidated the spirit into revealing that it works for a rival of Rixa. At the R3M office, you met Imari Kichi. You found a TIN drone custodian and discovered that it's powered by a bloodstone.

• Lottie: Looks like a lot of 1800s education was apprenticeship so Lottie probably apprenticed as a seamstress and then as a nurse.

• Ikhilzis Poisonblood comes back from Blank, looks around. Shrugs. He sees if there are any snacks in the car, and if so, will snack. He'll also make sure the wounds he took from the Shadows are not showing as much as posisble.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw is also SMOKING. From an actual pipe. It smells of herbs and flowers, and apparently goes quite well with the scotch.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks to Zenovi. "Bon Jovi? Been a long time since I listened to him."
• Rixa is going to help the team better mask their unusual nature
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn seems just a little tense. These elves are different from the ones she's used to dealing with. She's enjoying the drink, however, taste has no barriers.
• The Battle of Gevoka was February 16, 2018. It's been almost a year. The disappearance of the Risen Valor has still not been explained.
• The Council of Gevoka debated the future of the Breakwater.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly pets Snow, eating a thinly sliced radish out of the salad. It's rather artfully made.
• The DMV Visitation Zone began January 1.
• Phase 1 of Transition is establishing a secret, official entry point to the DMV. The short list includes some military bases, embassies, and corporate properties. The Embassy of Japan is a leading contender.
• A TAG Team is a group of professional but mundane personnel specializing in security, battlefield medicine, and forensic science. A TAG Team is dispatched to control the site of an incident and collect evidence. TAG stands for Treat, Analyze, & Gather.

• Zenovi of the Ágrioxýlo Tribe: Meanwhile in the car, Zenovi tells Ikhilzis, "I understand that prayer has many life-giving properties, but I don't understand what the man in the box is halfway to."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood thinks about this, then shrugs. "I have no idea."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Chain: "Is.. that a relationship stage? 'Same general province, but not in the same house?' It seems a bit less significant than most of the stories I've read."
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Depends on the person. Different people have different paces."
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly smiles, sharply a little, behind Lottie at the word "Swords."
• Contact to mollify an angry city spirit: Marcos Martí, Senior Sewage Engineer for the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, aka Kindly Ferryman
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn perks up at the mention of clothes
• Talarin techs help RR improve their system for hiding their paramatter nature

• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw offers in the chain a sort of low key *eeeee!* more or less for the entire ride. Kobold go fast!
• Lisette will try to get Nails' appointments details prior to when he was compromised
• Drone follows team from Talarin
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood lets out a long breath as his wound heal a bit. Being paramatter is kind of nice.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood grunts. "Politics."
• Spirit was sent by someone who mistrusts Galdan and thus wants to spy on RR
• Whisper will watch for the spirit again

• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly makes sure the bloodstains from her fight are out of her clothes; she carries a spare shirt wih her if needed.

• Later, Lae'eni mucks with the visit data to seem like a smaller, different group
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly looks pretty sharpin her REM uniform, pushing her red hairout of her eyes.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: I am intrigued. The real power of any organization is in what it influences, not what it has. R3M is certainly competent - but things connect in a different way when you realize they didn't bid on the DMV, and simply wish to act as security for it. There's a lot of wisdom in that.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "If you control the security, you control what goes in and out."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "More than that - you *see* what is going in and out. Intelligence is the most valuable commodity."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "The closeness of R3M and Talarin is intriguing as well - obviously R3M shares Talarin's goals."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Agreed. Including what may or may not be wanted by others."
• Colonel Bernard MacLachlan is the founder and President of R3M. He holds the rank of Colonel, US Air Force, retired.
• Caelryn: "Talarin is well known; from the Tutorial, they weretusted by Raptor Blue. They're not perfect, but I would consider them allies and more trustworthy thamost-though we should probably tell Miss Galdan about that drone."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "It isn't about distrust, really - it's about ... well. Understanding. Our employer is interested in an Open Earth, or sees that this will occur and is positioning themselves for it. Anyway - just a thought. Also yes, I agree. Any intelligence we can offer proves our value."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood feels a little vindicated by that admission.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Also - the Eladrin Courts are really the only point of comparison I have. That said - Elven Houses are something of a shadow of them. The internal mechanations are ... excessive, and rooted in ancient rivalries and old grudges. I can't imagine that Elves are very different in this context."
• Lottie: "I wish we could talk to the owner of the drone. If Nails could be compromised, who is to decide anyone else could avoid the same fate?"
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn nods in agreement of Smokes.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "I believe it imperative to both take things at their face value and trust very little - at least until we determine what corrupted our earstwhile leader. It is notable that literally every other organization could also be compromised - though I suspect our small group was specifically targetted. I would further suggest you listen acutely to any mention of the "Frayed" in these initial conversations. Should anyone discuss them, they will certainly be of interest."

• Fonn Razorenth: "It's very difficult to trust anyone after Nails, isn't it." Fonn sighs

• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "...It was both personal and not, due to the Tutorial. Deeply unpleasant either way."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Mm. Trust is always earned. We are new, entering a world larger than any of us, with players moving things on a scale that we cannot immediately discern - and this group is theoretically an interesting... 'thumb on the scale'. It will take time to establish the game, much less the players. Even so - I find it useful to take others at face value, and allow them to prove or disprove their intent by their actions and their relationship to us. It is all give and take, gift and reward. It simply is about who aligns with our actual goals - and who is honest about their own motivations in doing so."

• Ikhilzis Poisonblood just grunts a noncommittal noise at the idea of trusting ANYONE.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Mm. If I earn *your* trust, Ikhilzis, I will call that a great honor."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn smiles. "Smokes, I continue to learn a lot from you. I trust only when I understand the other person's motives and am sure they won't be turned against me."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: ".... Fonn. You have local contacts, of a sort, don't you?"
• Fonn Razorenth: She considers it. "A few. I haven't been able to connect with many people yet, unfortunately."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: Chain: They're definitely connected. But we can't tell her that.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "... you're very good. Do you think you could suss out more on the organization that is the "Frayed?" They either corrupted or are in league with the corrupted.... and. Hmmm."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Talarin is using bloodstones? Now that is an intriguing concept."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Someone take a photograph of the serial number of this device."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Or someone masquerading as Talarin."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn nods. "I will find out what the 'Frayed' are."
