RR 1-8: Raptor Red Needs to Hunt Gods

Team: Delly (Cael), Fonn (Dragon), Ikhilzis (Schizo), Lae'eni (Aslene), Lottie (Basil), Smokes (Aunne), Ulthane (listening), Zenovi (Dae)

The team asks questions and learns more about the vision for Raptor Blue. Their souls/spirits are in Adinzar. Their bodies are made of blocks of paramatter called myxls. So they are myxl forms, or MForms. Because Ruby Bridges designed their MForms, the heroes are effectively part of the Etchinar collective. Raptor Red was created to hunt gods, so the heroes have distinct advantages: they allegedly died at Gevoka, they are MForms, and they died soon after contact with Violet Creep (which was essential to finding their souls and placing them in Adinzar). Furthermore, having crossed back and forth over the threshold of death gives the heroes a special relationship with gods. Ruby Bridges teaches the heroes how to sense gods corrupted by the Creep. The Creep is a substance that cheats luck. It seems to give some beings more luck, but at the expense of others' misfortune. Gods can be corrupted by the Creep. If a god can be imprisoned in Adinzar, they can be cured. Also, when one god is imprisoned, an Amonkhet god can be freed. Each hero agrees to be part of the team. Granny Bones gives Smokes a Favor in the form of a spyglass. Old Grandmother makes a similar connection with Delly through the moondust pool (which she created for Brother Iron), and also heals RJ. Lisette briefs the team on establishing in DC. Old Grandmother and Granny Bones depart to find Nails and Brother Iron. Ruby Bridges teaches the heroes to shift their MForms to disguise themselves. They go topside and begin exploring the DMV.

• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly opens her eyes, slowly. She exhales, struck with the sudden pang of homesickness, longing for the warm sand and red rocks. ....But she has the idea, now, and she reaches for chalk.
• Fonn Razorenth: Everyone is asked some questions that, when thought about, are a bit odd. Things like "Have you ever been to this shop in the Hive?" or "Do you recognize this tavern?"
• Nails deleted some files on paramatter during the time he was compromised, shortly before the catastrophe
• Lottie: Lottie is often found trying to talk to her p3 to get it to work. "Please, you are so smart, teach me how to use you"
• Lae'eni finds the "advanced user" interace of the P3 and AEGIS
• Lae'eni is monitoring the team's vital signs and general location.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly makes a face. Politics. Urgh.
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn doesn't make a face, but she agrees
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood keeps a poker face the entire time, but just nods in agreement when he asked to assist.
• Zenovi of the Ágrioxýlo Tribe: "You know, in my repeated exposures to the violet creep, I have never felt particularly lucky. Whoever I am balancing out must be very fortunate indeed."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "repeated exposure?"
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks at Delly. "That's terrible."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw has a certain aquisitive - thoughtful, even planning, look.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly shrugs. "IT's not thier fault. The blame, what there is, lies with me. The only way forward is through, right? They'll... probably be better off."
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "MY brother Caiphas is shaping up to take on my mother's legacy. He's good, and dedicatred, and a far more suitable scion for bladesinging than I ever was."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks a little mystified. "I suppose I have much to learn warm blood's family structures."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood notes Zenovi's response. He will remember that.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Delly pets Snow quietly, who seems to sniff in Granny Bones's direction curiously.
• Ruby: The possible involvement of Joseph Rossman is disturbing. If Rossman was a disciple of Mr. Smith, then he may have been continuing his father's work. That could only lead to problems.
• Lisette: On the Edge, you are dead. You will each need to manufacture new identity.
• Lottie: Any chance its near Thanksgiving? Perhaps they'll think we're in costume!
• Ruby: The Etchinar remain interested in breaking further from its Reaver origins. Paramatter is one of several avenues by which the former Assembler Rebellion could redefine itself completely.
• Old Grandmother is a Passamaquoddy human druid (she/her). Her legal name is Barbara Soctomah.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks at Delly, "If we willingly walked out into the public with a bomb on our person with an unknown timer, anyone hurt when that bomb finally exploded would indeed be on us. As well as the bomb maker. We do need to be responsible."
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "Oh, of course- I mean that our creation did not consult us beforehand, is the thing. Iput my foot in it though, I think. REgrettable." She sighed for a moment, running a hand through red hair.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): "We are responsible for our actions."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: ".... this world is filled with /humans/. That can make my presence problematic. Suggestions would be appreciated."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Ruby Bridges said that we may be able to shapeshift and change our forms. You won't be as... obvious."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "I really have little desire to experience the upper world in the appearance of something like a human child."
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "There are shorter variations of humanoids. Dwarf and Homonculi, for example."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn eyes the eyeglass with curiosity
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood knows this because his species schtick, besides biology manipulation, is infiltration of multiple alternate species of 4 limbs and a head.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "Are those common on this world?"
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: "Much more common than Kobolds. You may get some looks, but not nearly as much as you would be in your normal form."
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: ".... mmm. Well, that's at least a possibility."
• Fonn Razorenth: Whenever Fonn gets her P3, she'll immediately begin checking it out and messing with the settings. She gets the feeling she might need to give advice
• Lottie: Lottie will first learn how to pretend like she knows her P3 and then some time later figure out the basic functions. She uses an old person persona and takes major advantage of siri.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood: ".... huh."
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn doesn't get it for a minute. Later, in the privacy of her bed, she will chuckle.
• Lottie: Lottie taps her head a second, then boops her own nose. When nothing happens, she goes back to normal.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood puts a blanket over Flopped Topi
• Old Grandmother heals RJ before departing
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn relaxes a slight amount. Her fingers are no longer on her sword's hilt, at least
• Granny Bones speaks some with Grindel Smith before departing
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw spends most of the training time... singing softly. She is often distracted by the flower she carries - and despite her obvious relief, she drifts back to where the portal was made now and again, as though looking for it again.
• The team can communicate with Ruby Bridges, as Etchinar MForms
• MForms = Myxl Form, Myxl = unit of paramatter
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks at everyone. "You don't have backstory, job, and reason for being present..."
• Lottie: Lottie is going to be very excited for new clothes
• Fonn Razorenth: Fonn hums. "Does our singing have to be good?"
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood puts on a nice suit that fits him, and sighs.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "I don't understand why we need to necessarially sing. But uit should be fun!"
• Fonn Razorenth: wears all black and her human-ified ears are hidden behind her slightly longer hair. She looks like a goth, but she doesn't seem to mind.
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly is an auburn haired woman in a casual white button up and jeans.,
• Lottie: Lottie wears a maxi dress, a cardigan, and a sunhat. She seems quite impressed with sunglasses and wears them proudly, covering her robot eyes. She wears her gray hair in a long braid that she pulls up into a bun above her head.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: Smokes ges with a young, adolescent human female - in a big hoodie (quite robelike, really - and it shades her eyes), a blouse, and long skirt.
• Ikhilzis Poisonblood looks vaguely like giant security person. in a suit. Bodyguard style.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw stares. And sighs, a little - reaching down to touch the spyglass tucked away on her belt. "I certainly have fallen in with capable beings. Here is hoping I can keep up."
• Lottie: Lottie gets meat on sticks
• Delly (Delsari Orist Nym Galadant): Delly is digging into the pizza. Like. A lot. That's actually pretty impressive? She eyes the cardboard box strangely.
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw: "You know. These devices everyone carries - they're remarkable, I suppose, but where is the conversation?"
• Lottie: Lottie pockets the skewers from her grilled kebabs
• Topi "Smokes" Smokeclaw keeps stealing tidbits from that pile of food on the table. Dolmades are lovely.
