Mission Report

Party: Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene), Jane Irwin (Cael), Proud Flame (Aunne), Shiro (DragoN), Kromrak (Sielic), Sylvena (Daewendriel), Isabelica (Basil) (11/1/20)

The team continues fighting the haunted hive, on the Grid and in the Swift. The hive mind draws out memories from the team and makes them real again: a duergar hammerer from the Invictus; an AForm rat from the NeoCyclic facility in Iowa; a hydra from the Chicago shore; a bone terror from the Bella Santiana theater; and a gnoll from the drug house in Chicago. Jane talks the hydra down from attacking. In the Swift, Lyndi and Sylvena battle AForms. Through Chikara, Shiro hacks through the hive mind's barriers. Then his eldritch cannon lands a perfect shot on the mind's "Red Leader" node (n20). Meanwhile, on the Grid, Proud and Ruby Bridges' 2 hunter-killers reach the center of the hive, where Denah Kari's and Ruby's last AForm are held. Kromrak and Isabelica back up Proud. Isabelica throws Chain Lightning into a clown's haze, killing all the remaining lesser AForms but accidentally hitting a Ruby HK, too. Meanwhile, the cruiser's reactor fails and the rear compartments are flooded with black ocean.
