Mission Report

Party: Lyndi Fletcher (Aslene), Jane Irwin (Cael), Proud Flame (Aunne), Kromrak (Sielic), Shiro (DragoN), Isabelica (Basil), Sylvena (Daewendriel) (9/6/20)

Lyndi concludes the conversation with Dwight Mackey. He gives them a code to identify a Primex agent. An elemental emissary, Taking Up Jogging at 40, arrives when the Tardigrade shiplets just let him aboard. He gives elemental boons to the Raptors. The team makes final preparations to board Yellow Dagger in disguise, and do so. The station is actually a capital ship in permanent orbit, and it's cursed and haunted. Nevertheless, it has a modest clientele of underworld types. Nasha claims a container waiting for her, which contains Daniel the awakened white ape, in stasis.

TNN Segment

    • TNN** (video feed of a goblin wearing a tie, at a desk): This is Tahko's Newsworthy News. I'm Tahko Hornwood. Our top story today: Fiery Challenger Inflames Conflict with Duchess Berrett!

Clerk's Ward is buzzing with rumors after a blatant attack on Duchess Berrett's stronghold in the Hall of Records. Tabaxi rake Proud Flame publicly called Berrett out, while apparently under the influence of a Potion of Giant Growth. Then Flame tried to launch rockets at Berrett's Adaption Group Building before vanishing. Proud Flame and his team, Raptor Blue, rose to prominence during the Battle for the Barge, when they defeated pirates in Sigil Space and rescued a group of Clueless from somewhere very hot. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a Fated factotum said, "This is what happens when you upjump some Clueless necromancer to high rank, just because she has money, an organization, contacts, secret magitec, and a reputation of ruthless danger." Bugbear entrepreneur Heinreich Reginald Brownclaw had this to say. "I do business on a dozen worlds and I've never seen such time-wasting, copper-grabbing, fur-pulling bureaucracy! Maybe someone should burn the whole thing down! I mean, um, destroy the buildings in ways that minimize collateral damage and pose no further risk to the, um, city." Stay tuned as our Field Correspondent, kobold tynker Nesnock Hagbiss, explains why Proud Flame's devices failed to work. Hagbiss will show you the correct way to build and deploy rocket launchers. You're watching TNN. If it's Sigil news that's important, or just cool, it's on TNN!

Conversation with Dwight Mackey

  • Lyndi confirms that Mackey will cover financial costs (e.g., hiring mercs)
  • The Simic Combine as a topic surprises Mackey, and he gives away some signs of disgust, even though his words suggest he is serene about this business partnership
  • Mackey asks whether RB was trying to make themselves visible when they attacked the LRC barge
  • Proud remembers that Primex largely uses double agents
  • If someone asks about the Chicago weather, the countersign is, They don't call it the Windy City for nothing
  • Mackey said Caterina isn't human, and not aberration, infernal, fey, or draconic
