A soul forge is a large, immobile artifact. According to some religions, some gods created soul forges to allow their celestials to temper and improve the souls of their followers. In most cases, these are gods that steward a cycle of reincarnation, so a soul is tempered between mortal lives.

Max: Using the soul forge at Ramshead to convert bloodstones into metabiotic crystals was a perversion of its nature. This is likely partly why many divinities collaborated to help the Unbroken Tide take Ramshead.
The Unbroken Tide explored moving the soul forge at Ramshead but couldn't find a way. At best, moving a soul forge might irreparably sever its ties to the Weave. At worst, it could create a major localized destructive effect.
