  • DM: > Bron's tail attack ends Bolinoth

  • Shiro and Chikara move the prison to the end of the boxcar
  • Spined Devil surrenders to Sylvi; she kills it
  • Jane Irwin: The owl hoots and braces herself!
  • The owl doesn't shove the prison much
  • DM: > Kromrak levitates Proud's prison and moves it into the passenger car

The Fulcrum Moment

  • Fulcrum Moment
  • Time stops
  • Gods in the air, each at least 100 feet high; more vivid and present that in the park in Chicago; Outer Planes, their homes
  • Lyndi has chaos in her, and Perfidy's ghost
  • Haelra: wand burns
  • The gods:
    • Bahamut (he/him): a platinum dragon with majestic wings; he has a regal, wise expression; a milky nebula slowly whirls behind his head like a galactic halo
    • Corellon Larethian (they/them): a beautiful Mediterranean elf, flowers in their hair; they're wearing a light toga, casual and loose; around their neck, a starburst amulet gleams with platinum and diamonds
    • The Dancer (they/them): a proud tabaxi of indeterminate gender; they are agile and wary, like coiled energy, whether speaking, moving, or just crouched and observing; their appearance melts and shifts every minute or so; now they have sleek black fur and a matte-black, strappy leather corset; now they have mangy brown fur and roadworn travel leathers; now it's something else, and now again; only their eyes remain the same, which is to say they constantly change
    • Erevan Ilesere (he/him): a handsome, cunning elf with Korean features; he's wearing black leather armor and black leather cap; a raccoon perches on his shoulder
    • Haela Brightaxe (she/her): a fierce, fit, cunning dwarven woman with pale, freckled skin and long, braided red hair; she wears sturdy studded leather armor dyed in a camouflage that matches the terrain around her; she carries a sword wreathed in flames
    • Lusifee (he/him): a Wabanaki native American man; he's wearing hunting leathers and beads; he's carrying a wooden spear with a metal head; at his side, a lynx is watchful
    • Luthic (she/her): a weather-hardened orc woman; she's wearing a massive bearskin with the head on her own, like a hood; beneath the skin, her robes are criss-crossed with bags, pouches, and talismans
    • Primus (they/them): a genderless clockwork humanoid made of plates of polished brass; the plates only partly cover innards of incredibly complex cogs and gears; the clockwork sparks here and there as they turn and spin; their eyes are featureless gray metal
    • Sehanine Moonbow (she/her): a willowy-beautiful yet sad Mediterranean woman; she's wearing a long dress of silvery-gray fabric, plaited hair, with a silver bow and quiver over her shoulders
    • Dol'modeen (she/her): a hulking humanoid of eldritch horror; five glowing red eyes lurk beneath a prominent brow-ridge; below diagonal nose slits, a tangle of long tentacles surround a circular maw of serrated teeth; her neck has gills that slowly ripple; her massive, muscular body has rubbery, black-and-purple flesh covered in slime and scales; her flesh is semi-translucent, revealing alien anatomy, muscles, and organs; she is draped in wavy fronds of bioluminescent seaweed; her arms end in finger-like tentacles, and she carries a fishing spear of salt-rusted iron
  • Primus calls out Gatriel: she was pledged to Tempus, Lord of Battles
  • Gatriel: I have forsaken Lord Tempus' banner and he cast me down; now I fight beside these mortals
  • Corellon greets Dol'modeen and hugs her
  • We lead the Covenant of Chain Breakers. We have called upon our followers and our allies to oppose the Malign Quintet

  • Each Unbound can request one task, and receive help from up to 2 allies
  • Rule of Three: each Unbound may contribute to up to 3 tasks
  • Possible Tasks
    • Free Proud from the archive shell
    • Expedite Proud's recovery from the shell's effects
    • Capture Bolinoth's essence
    • Hornwood Solution for a location near here, so that your ship can reach you
  • DM: > The heroes can sense that the merrenoloth engineer is fully aware of what's happening but can't move

  • Much discussion among the team
  • DM: > Haelra asks for a Hornwood Solution for Baator and succeeds, with help from Shiro and Sylvi
  • Chaos builds
  • DM: > Sylvi frees Proud from the archive shell, with help from Lyndi and Shiro
  • Jane brings Ordin Zarn back to life, with help from Haelra and Kromrak
  • Lyndi tries to catch the essence of Bolinoth, with help from Bronislav and Kromrak
  • DM: > Dugmaren Brightmantle arrives, catches Bolinoth's essence, gives it to Lyndi as a black diamond
  • DM: Dugmaren Brightmantle (he/him): an agile, hardy dwarven explorer; he has a big black beard, and it's a little wild; he has some twigs in his beard and some mud on his armor; he's wearing high-quality but well-worn brown leather armor; he wears a heavy pack; at his belt, he has a book on a chain and a pair of climbing axes with leather-wrapped handles
  • Shiro asks the identity of the Puppetmaster, with help from Lyndi and Sylvi
  • The Puppetmaster is Quarsis, "The Patient One," an illithid elder brain

The Moment Ends

  • Time resumes
  • DM: > Sylvi tries to warn the merrenoloth not to finish the contract
  • DM: The merrenoloth tells Sylvi his name: Alroth Grenol
  • In Sigil space, Max orders the Tardigrade into the Maelstrom, then to jump to the Hornwood Solution in Avernus, Baator
  • All the heroes are in the passenger car, except Lyndron
  • Shiro breaks the coupling
  • Lyndron carries the passenger car away
  • An eldritch whale rises from the river and eats the last of the train

  • The heroes fly through the storm, into fog
  • They witness the Blood War on the banks of the Styx
  • They fly away from that, to rendezvous with the Tardigrade
  • DM: > Team destroys the essence of Bolinoth
  • Aboard the Tardigrade, the team returns to Sigil
