Dr. Mara Ellings is a Human scientist (she/her). She takes a deep breath and tries to look composed, but the strain shows in her haggard eyes, splotchy skin, and frizzy hair. "It cost lives to defeat the node's guardian, but it was worth it. We have mapped rhythms and spikes, studied the spectral data… recorded its, its whispers, traced how the node anchors itself in the network, to this world..." She trails off in thought, then comes back herself.
